My partner and I stayed for one night in an executive double room. The size of the room and bathroom were great, and we were tucked away right at the top of the hotel so it was quite quiet.

Everything was clean and finished to a nice standard throughout the hotel. Staff were friendly, top marks for those on Reception!

There was a wide choice at breakfast, with everything topped up regularly, so no waiting around! The hotel is just a short walk from the town centre, so a great location. Overall I would definitely recommend the hotel and would certainly stay there again if in the area

Room Tip: Request a quiet room or a room on the top floor!

Unfortunate start to stay as we were 20minutes trying to park due to an illegally parked car. This was moved after we told reception but things went rapidly downhill. The young man on reception asked us if we wanted to book a table for dinner. We asked to see a menu and he pointed to a stand which displayed half the menu as it had slipped down! When this was pointed out to him his response was " oh again!" On being asked for a menu he shuffled some papers but couldn't find one so he said he would send one up to the room. One and three quarter hours later we decided we'd go to find the restaurant. We still didn't get to see the menu as we were told it was fully booked! This resulted in us having to walk into town which was not ideal when arthritis is a problem. We decided not to bother eating breakfast in the hotel as we were not impressed with the off hand attitude of the staff. The reaction at reception was to ask if we wanted a complaint form! However I must commend the pleasant employee who told us where the lift from the car park was .located. Disappointed visitors

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and reviewing your trip.

Firstly I apologise for you difficulty you found in parking though am pleased that we managed to rectify the illegally parked car. I apologise that you did not receive a copy of the menu to your room, this shouldn’t have happened and training has been put in place to ensure this does not happen again. This has also now been rectified with all rooms now have a copy of the menu in the guest file.

I am also sorry for the restaurant being fully booked for the evening when you wished to dine. I personally offered my last table at 9pm for you perusal and also caught you outside on the street to direct you to the nearest selection of restaurants which are less than 5 minutes away from the hotel. I am surprised that you found our attitude to be offhand as we care about our guests and try to do everything in our power to help where we can.

We have over 1000 positive reviews from guests who have enjoyed their experiences, and if you are ever in the area again, please contact us directly to give us the opportunity of a second chance.

Stayed 2 nights over the August Bank Holiday weekend in an executive double room.
We were very pleased with the size of the room which was on the third floor of the extension.
The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including bathrobes and slippers.
Did not use the bar or restaurant on this occasion, so cant comment.
One or two minor housekeeping matters, (sock fluff on the bedroom floor when we arrived and some mould in the bathroom) but nothing serious. The carpets on the stairs were very worn and in need of replacement, but all in all it was a good stay and we would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Kimberley recently as guests for a wedding, the room. Was small with the TV mounted to a wall parallel. To the bed so unless you lay sideways on the bed it was difficult to watch.

The radiator in the room was on full blast and there was no way to turn it down! I called at reception to tell them about it and they sent someone up, who scratched his head and said " that's weird, where's the thermostat gone?" As if I'd removed it! After assuring us it would be sorted it never was.

Breakfast was nice with a godd selection however being sat under the Air Conditioner unit in a very busy dining room meant everything was cold in no time! We asked to move and we're told there were no other tables available!

I left a message for a friend who was staying there too with reception as they were checking out before us, this message was mislaid by the night staff and never delivered,

The £6 per night charge to park there is a joke too as the car park was full and I was given a residents parking permit to park further up the street!

Room Tip: Go elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!

.
I am sorry to read that your stay did not live up to your expectations, and that you felt your entire experience within the hotel was not satisfactory.

I was surprised to read that you were unhappy with the fittings in your room, and the service that you received from the member of staff that came up to look at the radiator. The radiator was reported to the maintenance team, though apologize that this issue wasn't solved instantly.
I am also surprised to read that you found the breakfast room to be cold as in our many other reviews 1 main issue that stands out is how warm it can be in the restaurant.

In regarding the message that you left with reception, I spoke to you directly on check out, and felt that this matter has been resolved, though the message had been unclear as to which guests it was meant to be delivered to as there were many guests residing with us with the same name.

Finally, we are all apologetic that you found the car park fare to be amusing, we are not the only hotel in Harrogate to charge for parking, but are the only hotel that would go out of their way to find a residents parking permit to help you.

We are all disappointed that you feel that you would not visit us again, though as you can see from the number of excellent reviews we receive, that you experience was a rare one, not of standard. If you do decide to visit us again, please do not hesitate to contact myself directly.

Just returned from our 3rd stay at this hotel. Had an impromptu long weekend with friends and as ever could not fault. Fantastic executive rooms with comfy bed and immaculate bathroom, great food and friendly staff. Great location too. Look forward to our next visit soon

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights over bank holiday as guests of a wedding nearby. From arriving at the hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooms were a good size and clean...even better the room was half price when I booked. The meal in signatures bistro was lovely and very good value. The staff in the restaurant were attentive and made sure we didn't wait long and were very understanding about my severe nut allergy which always gives me reassurance. Breakfast was lovely with good selection of food. Would certainly pay another visit should we travel to Harrogate again.

As it was our wedding anniversary, we decided to celebrate it on the bank holiday weekend, i was delighted when i found this hotel on late rooms.com they had just one room left which was a twin room, when i informed them at the hotel that it was a special anniversary, they immediately upgraded our room to DELUXE double room and what a room! it was beautiful, can i say thanks to everyone they were really helpful and to make things even better they supplied my husband, whom is a coeliac, with gluten free food so that we could eat safely that night in the signatures bistro and for breakfast.. Will definately return.

Room Tip: we stopped facing the main road and was surprised how quiet it was.
