I booked the Kimberley as I had read some great reviews about the hotel. I was in harrogate for a friends birthday and as the hotel was only a few minutes walk to the town centre the location was ideal. As soon as we went to reception we were made to feel welcome. We had one of the newly refurbished rooms which was lovely. Beautifully decorated and with wine and chocolates in the room it was worth paying that little bit extra. We even had a teddy bear which we could take home. We had a drink in the bar before going out. The service was excellent and the bar had a very warm cosy feel. Breakfast was fantastic with everything you would want and really set you up for the day.

Very friendly, helpful staff, warm and welcoming reception. We booked the Thai room, for a treat, the bed was very comfortable but the two thin pillows were very hard. More were brought quickly on request. The en suite was cold (lots of snow outside) the radiator was not working, the element had burnt out, but not been repaired, (the handyman was aware of this) consequently the towels were cold and damp.
The food was superb! New menu introduced on the second night which was truly imaginative. Chicken breast stuffed with strawberry and cranberry mousse an absolute dream! Yorkshire hot pot with mutton, kidney and black pudding with a 'proper' crust was also fantastic! Well done chef! Adam the bar keeper was very helpful recommending wines. Lovely touches of good quality toiletries, a Kimberley Teddy bear and a good quality bottle of wine in the room. The radiator couldn't be repaired but we were not offered any discount when checking out, which would have been a nice gesture given our total bill.

All the staff at the kimberley hotel are kind and helpful, the rooms were top of the range and had everything you could need. The evening restaurant was relaxing and the food was to die for. No one should hesitate on booking here if staying in the area.

Visited Harrogate for Trade Fair with collegues. Changed original booking then cancelled due to weather then decided to rebook. Reception staff were very patient with our indecision, although our original rooms had been rebooked we were offered all doubles at same price. Arrived early but was still given access to available rooms. My room was on second floor and smaller than my collegues but still fine, clean and comfy beds. Great location for Harrogate town centre and Exibition Centre. All staff were extremely helpful.
Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked, hot and plenty of choice, Service during breakfast was superb. When I returned to my room the card key would not work but a chambermaid let me in and then offered to go and sort the faulty card out. We were all delighted with the hotel and would definately stay there again for business or leisure. Far superior in service to the other well established hotels we 've stayed at in Harrogate

My husband and I have just returned from an overnight stay at The Kimberley. We booked the hotel only a couple of hours before arriving as a spur of the moment treat to ourselves ! This was our first visit to Harrogate and we decided on the hotel after seeing the reviews on here and also when I called the hotel we were offered an executive room at an excellent price. Our room was lovely, very comfortable bed ,furnished and decorated to a high standard. And the bathroom had a great power shower .It was definitely worth paying a little bit extra for than the standard rooms. The location of the hotel is excellent for the town centre, just a few minutes walk away. The staff were all very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely .As we were only here for the one night we did not see much of Harrogate other than the restaurant and the pubs in the town in the evening ! On our next visit we will hopefully have a bit more time to see the town . And we will definitely stay at the Kimberley again, we could not fault it.
