This has been a regular place to stay since it hosted a family wedding. We are here several times a year. The welcome is so warm and friendly. The new(ish) owners are putting their own stamp on the place with new decor and we have noticed how they have been revamping it. It is a lovely building with a lot of character. The rooms are very comfortable and spotless. The food is outstanding. We would not consider eating elsewhere. The staff are very helpful and it is most certainly a place to stay. Can not fault it. Easy walk into the centre of Harrogate. Regular bus service outside the hotel door. Car park is quite small but holds over a 10. However it is not their fault; the nature of the plot means it could be nothing else really.

Travelling from Australia and wanted to stay in a really good hotel in Harrogate.... Well, did we pick the right one ! Ascot House is so classy, yet so friendly and comfortable, from the welcome we received on arrival, to the incredible food served to us on a daily basis by owner and chef David. The food is truly superb and we dined there for the three days that we stayed at the hotel. Anne, also the owner, is one of the nicest, most genuine people i have ever had the pleasure of meeting - proffesional and so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessy clean and beautifully decorated enhancing the overall stay. Do yourselves a favour and stay at a hotel that will last in your memory long after you have arrived back home - wherever that may be - we will defiantely be back !

All the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful and the food was delicious both at breakfast and dinner. I did opt for the cheapest room available and it was not very comfortable but others who paid more seem to have fared better. I would stay again but would upgrade my room. Hotel is very conveniently located.

Room Tip: Dont go for the cheapest option.

Always stay here when in the area. Booked direct with hotel who honoured the stated internet price (£79 for double superior instead of £121) so a great deal. Has the perfect storm of quality, comfort, cleanliness and price. FREE parking and 5 mins walk from the town centre. Stayed in room 22 which was SUPERB, modern and stylish with big sleigh bed. I trawled the internet looking for a better deal and ended up coming back to the Ascot as I always do!

Just got back from a Sunday night Dinner, Bed & Breakfast.
Dinner - Both had three courses which were included in the price. Great food, on par with a top restuarant, good varied menu with not too many choices so you know the ingredients are seasonal and fresh. Excellant presentation and service in a loving setting. If I lived closer I would go to the restuarant reguarly.
Hotel - Beautiful building with period features, nice quiet lounge to relax in. Just a short walk into Harrogate Centre and in a very nice area.
Bedroom - spacious and light with a seperate sitting area (room 28) and a nice big bed.
All in all I`m suprised this isnt 4 Star, we were both very happy and the Hotel deserves its high rating on Trip Advisor. We would definately recommend.

Room Tip: Book dinner at the Hotel,

Stayed for two nights, one with dinner included. Room not large, but well thought out and comfortable; very neat and tidy. Excellent dinner was very good value for money. Breakfasts good too. Conveniently situated with easy walk to centre.
