We booked in at the Ascot well ahead of our visit. £50 deposit per room taken on booking. 3 couples arriving Friday afternoon and found it easy to locate and amble parking. Lovely rooms with biscuits, sweets and coffee. Flat screen TV and a comfortable bed. Nice shutters on our room allowed privacy and fresh air on quite a warm weekend. We gathered in the bar which was spacious and a very welcome meeting point that we used after dinner and the following day before going our for a meal, and again on getting back. This makes a valuable addition to a B&B, so well worth paying a little extra. Even better was we booked an evening meal on our day of arrival. I expected a fairly average hotel prepared meal, but we where presented with top class food that if presented in your local restaurant would have you returning regularly - well done chef and kitchen staff. Customer facing staff were very friendly and made the stay special - Humberto deserves special mention, he was very friendly, has a great sense of humour and is a real credit to the hotle . Breakfast was particularly good; a good choice and the fried breakfast varied to suit individual requests. No pressure to rush and a great way to start a day before visiting harrogate. top marks, When I next visit Harrogate, I'll stop here

Our second visit to this charming hotel.
It's position is very convenient for all to do in Harrogate. We were golfing in the area; there are superb courses within 20 minutes.
Room was comfortable; everything worked.
Food is of the highest quality, well cooked and presented.
The staff are most courteous, nothing being too much trouble.

All round, an excellent place to stay.

Love this hotel. Booked this for one night while we attended a wedding at another Harrogate hotel. There were 11 of our party staying here and all were delighted with our stay. It was Tripadvisors ratings that inspired our decision to stay here. Particular thanks to all the staff for busting a gut to have our rooms ready long before checking in time. Very clean and a cracking breakfast. Will definitely return soon.

We stayed here for two weekend nights and were very satisfied with the hotel's convenience for central Harrogate (perhaps a 10 minute walk) and the cost, when compared with alternatives (Harrogate not being a cheap town to visit).

The room was sizeable, clean and comfortable and the bathroom, although not the largest, was recently modernised and well-designed, including a bath as well as a shower. Service was attentive, with a fan being provided on request on a very hot day.

A good breakfast, with a selection of muesli, granola and fresh fruit for the health conscious and again attentive service.

The car park is not the largest and, on the Saturday, with a function taking place at the hotel, it was necessary to park nearby at the council offices (as directed by the hotel). Generally not a problem, although I cannot comment on midweek nights, when the alternative arrangements may not be practical.

A marvel. This is an immaculate little hotel remarkably close to downtown Harrogate with-miracle of miracles-good parking. Although close to the street, (not a major thoroughfare) traffic noise was not a problem due to the new windows, and the breakfast was excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.
