Chose this hotel after reading tripadvisor reviews the photo's of the place and the car parking, which is excellent. checkin was straight forward, we had room 227, on the first floor slightly to the right of the entrance door ( looking from the outside) far enough away as not to be disturbed by the automatic entrance doors. The walls are a bit thin but did'nt bother us too much, good sized room and an excellent bed. Breakfast was a little dissapointing. We stayed half board and the evening meal was superb, mix and match menu from the brasserrie, well presented. The bar prices were expensive, £3.85 for a pint of boddingtons. Harrogate centre was a 10 min. walk to decent shops, and Betty's tea room, again very expensive, but quality product's and a nice experience. Overall a lovely weekend, and would definately recomend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with a lovely comfortable room and friendly hotel staff. Only negatives were the shower that had a mind of its own - either hot or scolding without warning - and the breakfast - bacon wasnt the best (bit fatty).

Stayed overnight before a meeting the following day in Harrogate. There's plenty of parking. Check in was quick. The room was a decent size, modern and the bed reasonably comfortable - perhaps a bit of the soft side for me though. The free internet wasn't brilliant - it was slow and had a 200Mb limit on it. I ended up paying for the service offered by BT (not sure if it was affiliated with the hotel or not) which was much better. Had a couple of drinks in the bar which was quiet and had a couple of decent beers on. Breakfast was very good - the usual hot and cold buffet you would expect. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I needed to stay in the area again.

Stayed overnight before a meeting in Harrogate the following day as I didn't fancy the 8-9 hour roundtrip in a day. The bar was quiet but had a couple of decent beers on. Breakfast was the usually hot and cold buffet affair but was very good. There was a 200mb download limit on the free internet which was unusual. I ended up paying for Internet use anyway - which was also much faster.

We stayed here for one night to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We have stayed here once before and had a great experience. On this occasion we were given a superior room on the first floor. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy. We ate our evening meal in the hotel brasserie. I can't stress enough how amazing the food was. Absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also good: buffet style with good quality bacon / sausage and a brilliant selection of pastries and muffins. There are also lots of cereals and fresh fruit to choose from. Tea was brought to our table very quickly. The staff at this hotel are fantastic - they are really professional and friendly from the moment you check in to the moment you leave. We loved it so much we booked one of the 2 night leisure breaks for August as soon as we got home. The only slight negative was that the hotel was too hot for us. This is probably a personal taste thing. We slept with our window open so it didn't affect our sleep.

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for a superior room. We loved 215.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Cedar Court, which is an attractive hotel in a nice location on the edge of a park about a 10 minute walk from Harrogate centre. Our first floor room was pleasant, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Tried the WiFi, which showed nothing in our room, so tried in the lounge area, no better so gave up. Decided to have a shower after our long journey: water either very very hot or very very cold. Hmmm, were we really staying in a 4 Star establishment!? When we got back to our room after dinner out, there was very audible talking from one of the nearby rooms, strange the walls are paper thin in such an old building. Anyway, to end on a positive note, breakfast was excellent from the hot buffet served in a very impressive room with chandeliers. I drew the shower issue to the attention of the receptionist on check out. Harrogate is a really cool place and the hotel is so well situated I wouldn't be put off returning but for me this is not up to 4 Star hotel standards
