Owner description: An amazing collection of weird and wonderful rock formations: a great day out for families, climbers and those who love the outdoors.
Reviewed 10 October 2018 via mobile

We thought we'd seen all there was to see in this part of Yorkshire, and had visited Brimham Rocks with friends about 50 years ago. This, of course, would have been before the Visitor Centre and NT access and we now realise we'd seen only a very small part of this huge area of amazing rock formations. Even though we are, sadly, now much too advanced in years to do any climbing, or even scrambling on the rocks, it was still worth a visit, with excellent foot paths and even a mobility scooter that can be hired.
Don't hesitate - go and see it for yourself, and look out for the Dancing Bear, Druid's Writing Table, Blacksmith's Anvil, Eagle, Castle Rocks etc etc etc ......

Some really impressive formations - worth getting a map to locate the ones that you want to see... Idol is incredible ... and Castle Rocks were great fun.

Really good family day out - people of all ages and abilities climbing everywhere - climbs of all kinds of difficulty from easy to outrageous.

Well worth the trip, whether a National Trust member or not.

Brimham Rocks is a favorite destination walk for us, it’s particularly popular with our three spaniels who run themselves ragged chasing elusive rabbit scents. The rock formations are amazing, the views are extraordinary, on previous visits we have had better weather, this time it was grey and overcast, but it enhanced the experience for us as the rocks both stood out against the grey sky and blended in with the varying shades of grey. it’s such a fabulous place, we walked for nearly two hours calling in at the cafe for some wonderful luxury got chocolate which comes with a spoon...... always a good sign.

Good clean toilets and excellent parking, which is free if you are a National Trust member.

Three shattered spaniels slept all the way to Swinsty reservoir where they had a good swim
