At time of writing this review, parking charges are £6 for up to 4 hours or £8 all day. National Trust members park for free. The site itself is free to enter. I’m in two minds about parking charges at National Trust sites. I dislike paying parking charges on top of entry fees. But in this case, the only charge is parking and I don’t believe the charges are too excessive for a day out.

We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the rocks and being amazed at the formations. Blessed with a sunny autumn day made the views spectacular. Being clumsy with two right feet, I was thrilled to be able to climb quite a few of the rocks. Not too challenging.

Great day out with the kids or a walk with the dog. Toilets, snack kiosk and shop available during opening times. Well worth a visit if nearby.

Lovely place to see the countryside and take in these rock formations.
Parking £6 for 4 hours.
Not too difficult to get around and if you’ve a head fit heights you can climb!

We thought we'd seen all there was to see in this part of Yorkshire, and had visited Brimham Rocks with friends about 50 years ago. This, of course, would have been before the Visitor Centre and NT access and we now realise we'd seen only a very small part of this huge area of amazing rock formations. Even though we are, sadly, now much too advanced in years to do any climbing, or even scrambling on the rocks, it was still worth a visit, with excellent foot paths and even a mobility scooter that can be hired.
Don't hesitate - go and see it for yourself, and look out for the Dancing Bear, Druid's Writing Table, Blacksmith's Anvil, Eagle, Castle Rocks etc etc etc ......

Some really impressive formations - worth getting a map to locate the ones that you want to see... Idol is incredible ... and Castle Rocks were great fun.

Really good family day out - people of all ages and abilities climbing everywhere - climbs of all kinds of difficulty from easy to outrageous.

Well worth the trip, whether a National Trust member or not.
