Been meaning to try the Jaipur for a while but seemed to always manage to go elsewhere - finally managed it and what a nice meal it was!. Very helpful staff, different menu than many traditional places of the same ilk (worry not, they have the usual hardy annuals!). All in all a great tasting meal at a decent price in nice surroundings.

Visited Jaipur due to it offering a more interesting selection than other similar restaurants in the area. Chutney tray was excellent - wish we had asked for a jar of the chilli chutney/jam.
My paneer dish was one of the best ever, perfectly spiced for my Birmingham tastes, and not remotely greasy. The Memsahib enjoyed her prawn Chef's Speciality dish as well. Huge portions, low prices, pleasant staff ... what more could you ask for?

I recently tried the jaipur with a friend one fri evening and was most disappointed, the food was hot and came quick and its a shame as the setting is quite nice and so are the staff, but the food was bland and not authentic,in actual fact if i had gone to sainsburys or Asda i would of got a better'PINGER' from one of these supermarkets..I used my taster card and it was still over £25 for 2 when you think the taster card was supposed to save you money, admittedly its not a lot of money but i go for value myself and the chicken was that sliced stuff not fresh or chunky, food def wasnt marinated, few spices and coriander thrown in to make it tast something like a indian but reluctantly i would call it a indian though i think it is bangladesh restaurant. So i wouldnt go back and you dont get much either,so v.poor experience and especially with all the reports you would think it would be good but ALAS it WASNT. 3rd worst indian ive had really. The drinks are extortionate too, thats where they make there money i think..NOT Good value,NOT good on the taste buds,NOT good amount,NOT good experience,NOT Good so not GOING again..regards..ed

Doesn't look much from the outside. Quite a small restaurant. But all I can say is what a hidden gem.
This is by far the best Indian food we have ever had.
The staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. Also the prices are very reasonable.
Definitely worth going.

When you enter this place you think you may have erred but hang on in there because there are delights to come! The selection of dishes is mind-blowing and there are some you will never had heard of eg. ‘Nirali’ that I close had and found to be absolutely delicious. The chef obviously knows his trade and is able to conjour exquisite flavours with amazing results. A pity the ambiance is lacking but don’t let this put you off. Said to be the best Indian in Harrogate (according to the TA sign displayed outside) when you have sampled the fayre it's not difficult to see why!
