“Great value, fantastic service, good food.”
Reviewed 22 June 2012

We went for the dinner buffet during the week, and it was good. The food wasn't hot for the most part, and some of it was quite greasy(what Chinese food isn't?), but there is loads to choose from. We particularly enjoyed the ribs, tempura prawns-REALLY good size-and sesame chicken.I enjoyed their version of California rolls, and the fresh fruit bowl was a nice touch. Ice cream for desert was excellent. If you're on a budget and want to try a variety of Chinese food, this place is good, and the service is wonderful.

“Great Value”
Reviewed 20 May 2012

If you are looking for somewhere cheap and filling to eat in whilst shopping in Harrogate, you couldn't do much better than having the weekend lunch buffet at Cheung Won.
Lots to choose from all pretty good and at £6.95 for a three course all you can eat buffet you can't fall off.
Friendly attentive staff.
No labels on the food, so a bit pot luck, but everything was ok and I don't mind trying things.
All in all very good value.

“Fabulous Food”
Reviewed 12 March 2012

We visited early Sunday evening for the buffet, very busy with good atmosphere. The food is amazing, plenty of choice and small amounts so it does not stand for a long time and is replenished regularly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time and will definitely go again.

“Lovely fresh buffet - highly recommended”
Reviewed 8 January 2012

We've been regulars at the Cheung Won buffet for about nine months and have never had a bad meal. The food is freshly cooked in small quantities and regularly replenished. There is a good variety of starters, from chicken and sweetcorn soup through shredded duck in pancakes, prawn toast, chicken satay, seaweed, lovely delicacies and then the main courses are well cooked and include chicken curry, beef in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken, some wonderful prawn dishes and also a number of vegetarian options. There are also sushi dishes included in the price. The puds include jellies, icecream, lovely little dishes of fresh fruit salad, baked custard and fresh banana fritters. Less than £30 for two including an alcoholic drink apiece. Highly recommended. Also open lunchtimes ie Sundays with slightly smaller menu and cheaper price. The staff are very friendly and hospitable.
