A very friendly receptionist found us a parking space at the front, even though we'd forgotten to book one, which was a good start. Our room was Penfolds, a large room at the front overlooking the Stray. It had a huge bed, desk, chaise, comfy chair, fridge, kettle etc. The room was quite cold when we arrived, as the sash window was open and there was only one radiator, but it had warmed up by the second day of our stay. The bathroom was large with a bath in front of the window and a separate shower. The annoying use of small round pin plugs for lamps etc. meant there were not many usable sockets for charging phones etc., but WiFi was free, and quite quick.
We ate in the Bistro on one night, and it was excellent, with great food and service: however, we did not eat breakfast here, as we preferred to walk to Betty's.More
