I was treated to a stay here for my birthday and it was a lovely place to spend a weekend. We particularly loved the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, the decor in general and the gorgeous breakfast that was served in the bistro. Unfortunately we didn't get to try out the bistro for an evening meal as we chose to venture into Harrogate but should we return we will definitely be staying for dinner at the hotel. All in all a great venue for a weekend away.

Initial impression of our room was good but as we settled in I was very disappointed with the standard of the Housekeeping. The bathroom was not not cleaned properly (the toilet had urine marks on the rim of the bowl) and the shower screen had not been cleaned - though the next day's cleaning was an improvement. The beds are very large and very comfortable but the whole of the hotel needs an update to bring it up to the standard they are charging for! There wasn't any bubble bath and only one bar of soap( already opened). The staff were friendly and polite and the hotel was in a very good location but I wouldn't stay again as I found the bedroom was definitely not user friendly.
PS: the main window needs a blind as you have to close the very heavy curtains when changing, making it a very dark room even with the lights on.

A one night stay with the Goodnight Du Vin offer. As good as it gets on every count, fantastic accommodation, superb staff, food quality seldom bettered. We will be going back as often as we can. Hopefully as soon as possible.A must to try anytime. Very close to town and if you can go for the suites with balcony. That's what we will go for in the future. Fantastic is every way. Thank you very much.

Had a lovely stay in this hotel for a long weekend. Arrived on a saturday afternoon, staff were immediately helpful in pointing out that while the hotel parking cost a certain amount we could pay be the metre for sat and sunday would be free.

Had booked a meal in the bistro for sat night and this was as usual of a very high standard. The sommelier was very friendly and pointed out a very good wine of a reasonable price. Enjoyed a couple of cocktails in the bar area before retiring to bed.

Room was at the front of the hotel but we didn't have any trouble sleeping. The room was a good size- perhaps a tiny bit tired but still fantastic.

On sunday day spent the day wandering around Harrogate, with the obligatory tea and cake at Betty's. Enjoyed an evening meal at a nearby Thai restaurant, which was excellent. Overall the staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Cosy, comfortable, great restaurant, staff friendly and helpful. Only problem is finding the place, post code on website does not take you to the hotel!

Room Tip: dont take a room on the ground floor or at the rear of the hotel. Pubs and clubs nearby can be very...

Just returned from a night at the Harrogate Du Vin. We booked the 'Taste of Yorkshire' package which gave us dinner bed and breakfast with one night in York and one night in Harrogate for just under £200/night for the both of us. This included all food without any restrictions, bottle of house wine on arrival and a 'taste of Yorkshire' card which gives you free access to almost all the attractions in Yorkshire.

We arrived early at the hotel and unfortunately our room was not ready, nevertheless we were able to park and wonder off around Harrogate at our leisure. I thought parking was very limited at this hotel.

Upon our return we were directed to our room. Bit dissapointed not to be taken to the room or have an offer to assist with our luggage. Our room was on the first floor 'Torres'. It had a large bay window overlooking the front with a large roll top bath and walk in monsoon shower within the bedroom. The toilet and sink was seperate. Our bed was large and very comfy. The linen and towels were all crisp and clean. The room was equiped with all the mod cons such as 'Nespresso' coffee maker, iron, hair drier and well stocked mini bar.

My only criticism of the room was that the complimentary shower gels, shampoos etc were not up to the usuall Du Vin standard. Also the toilet area smelt a bit of urine and the sash windows knocked about a bit in the wind. This caused a restless nights sleep and I think that I have read on TripAdvisor that this has been an ongoing problem. I tried to fix this by sticking a towel in the gap and found that the top of the windows were littered with dead insects! Nevertheless we were very impressed with the room and found it very clean.

All the staff at the hotel without exception were very polite and very helpful. Of particular note was the barman and restaurant manager in the evening. Both went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. In respect of the bar and restaurant, the food was top notch and the wine list was second to none. I could not fault the food and drink one bit.

We also used the spa and found this to be an incredible experience. It was spotless and well equipped and once again the staff were truely excellent. The treatments were fairly priced and expertly delivered. This was probably the highlight of our stay.

On the whole thiss hotel comes highly recommended. I cannot compare with other Harrogate Hotels but this one certainly lived up to our expectations and we would certainly like to visit again.

Room Tip: Try and get one to the rear of the hotel to avoid the high winds that shoot accross the park and rat...

We stayed at the hotel for one night on the girls out package. The staff in the hotel were great, the rooms were fine (apart from having to be very tall to see in the bathroom mirrors) and the reception staff were very helpful. The location is superb and the parking wasn't a problem for us. The continental breakfast was pretty basic - cereal, yoghurt and fruit but no cheeses, meats etc. The evening meal was a real disapointment. I would expect for a hotel of this quality to serve great food and it was at best distinctly average.

The spa treatments were excellent. The spa manager is a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome and gave us first class treatments. The spa experience made up for the poor dining experience and I would definately call back in the spa again!!
