Stayed here on New Year's day as part of a deal with meals, I have never stayed at a hotel du vin before, the location of this one was excellent and easy to find in Harrogate. Parking was outside the hotel so very easy, lovely room, fantastic food, great staff, my boyfriend commented on lack of flat screen somewhat dated tv, aside from that I totally loved it, wished we had both stayed another night, recommended lots.

Stayed for one night between Christmas and New Year with my partner in the Kendall.
The room was fine, but no sparkle or wow factor. It was a bit shabby and looked like it needed a little TLC.
We did not eat in the restaurant or take breakfast so can't comment on the food. There are so many places to eat in Harrogate it is difficult to chose one.
The HDV is situated in an excellent position for visiting the attractions or the shops. Was surprised to be charged for car parking. We got a good deal on the stay, but definitely would not pay the full price!

Have just come home from a night in the big loft suite. It was amazing, the bathroom was bigger than my lounge!
The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was so comfy, I didn't want to get out of it.
It is a bit pricey but it's really good quality. We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, and the food was beautiful- compliments to the chef!!

We stayed at the HdV Harrogate on a Saturday night in November and had a thoroughly decent stay. Our room was clean, well maintained and spacious with a very comfy kingsize bed and good showerr and bathroom. There was a wedding on in the hotel on the same evening but we weren't disturbed by the celebrations at all and had a great night's sleep - although that may have been more to do with not having kids with us! The food in the hotel is very good - especially the breakfast - however the menu is a bit limited and rather expensive. I can't remember how much we paid but I remember thinking that it was expensive. It is a comfortable hotel with a lot going for it but at the price you pay you're expecting a real treat which never really arrives.

We've stayed in another Hotel Du Vin in Cheltenham, which was excellent, so we thought we'd give this one a go for a one night stay.

Unfortunately, it wasn't on par and we were disappointed by our unclean bathroom, duvet that had a hole in it, and all around tired room fittings. We did call down to the front desk to let them know about the state of our room. We were shown another unclean room (it's not like it was terrible, but there were hairs in the bath which was quite off-putting), and told we'd be welcome to move, but we'd have to drag our bags over there as there was no lift; the property is quite a maze of corridors and stairs. They did clean our room and replace the linen while we were out to dinner, it just would have been a nice gesture if they'd bought us a drink in the bar, or offered to help us move room; something other than just a shoulder shrug. The other thing to mention is that the corridor is quite creaky which was distracting while trying to get off to sleep as the door was right next to the bed.

The bar and bistro look nice, it's unfortunate the guest rooms don't live up to the front of the house.
