Excellent spot just outside of harrogate. Perfect for a quiet little beak. Very friendly owners and there is even a little cafe for breakfast and snacks. Ideal for those looking for a quiet retreat. Would definitely go back!

What a lovely camp site ! And the friendliest owners ! Tanya and David went out of their way to make our party feel welcome . We camped with family (adults, small children and a dog) and cannot stress how lovely the setting of the site is and also the shower facilities - the radio in the bathroom was a lovely touch ! Yorkshire did itself proud with the welcome laid on for the tour - everyone was so friendly - cannot wait to go back for longer - From the site its about half hour walk into Harrogate and about 10 mins into the village of killinghall - The shop that Tanya runs on the site makes and sells the most delicious cake in the world !!!!!! I would advise anyone looking to stay here to book without hesitation - the site was full when we stayed, but didnt feel like it at all - so much space !!! All in all a wonderful stay - thank you to Tanya and David

I stayed as part of a group of four friends in Humble Bee Cottage and we all had to agreed that it was just PERFECT for us. Its very clean, tastefully decorated and feels like a real home from home. You are in the countryside but Harrogate is literally 5 minutes drive away. Tanya and David are the most hospitable hosts you could meet and every last detail has been well thought through. From the welcome pack of goodies including home made cake and jams, to the room full of wellies available to borrow. We have stayed in Cowslip cottage previously and its just as charming. Hopefully we will be back next year again.

My family and I stayed in Humblebee cottage for one week. It isn't easy to find a place to accommodate the needs of a 17 year old boy and 11 and 12 year old girls, but everyone really enjoyed themselves. Our son stayed downstairs and enjoyed having his own wet room with a lovely powerful shower. Every room was comfortable and extremely clean.
We also received a warm welcome from Tanya, who had baked an apple pie for us. She was most helpful during our stay, helping us to find vouchers for the nearby Lightwater Valley theme park and recommending places to eat. Despite the terrible weather, there was plenty to do. There are two pubs within walking distance and lots of restaurants in the centre of Harrogate which is about a 10 minute drive. We also visited Mother Shipton's Cave and Brimham Rocks (the girls favourite) which were all a short drive away.
We can't wait to go back and having viewed the facilities in the campsite, will definitely give it a go. Visitors should also prepare to be tempted by the delicious cakes and drinks that are served onsite at The Udder Café.

Have stayed twice this year so far and its our current favourite. Just 30 mins from home just the other side of Harrogate on way out to Ripley. The owners Tanya and Dave are really welcoming Dave runs the farm and camping area whilst Tanya keeps busy with her shop and on site cafe. But back to the campsite, lovely location and views not too big but a lot of space as they don,t cram people in. Shower block and toilets kept very clean and even has a radio and ghd,s for the ladies (men can use them I suppose). There is a fire pit which the campers can light on a Saturday wood provided by Dave and we have had a good night around the fire talking to our fellow campers. Please be aware that this is a quiet family site and if it's peace and quiet you want being very close to Harrogate but with a country setting we can highly recommend this site. There are also some cottages for self catering which I am sure we will use at some point.

We had a weekend here in may 2013 and found it a great wee site. We were the very first guests and the only guests on the first night, joined by a young couple the 2nd night.
The site is small but lovely with a wood burner in the centre, Plenty of room for our large tent. The shower block was great, but unisex, clean and hairdryer and straighteners provided. T he view was spectacular and great to wake up to the cows peering over the fence. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, great folk. The sit is not far from some lovely towns and villages and Harrogate is within cycle distance. (if you don't mind the hills).

We stayed at Cud Life last weekend. Tanya very kindly let us change our booking as my husband had to go abroad with work at short notice. We were welcomed by Dave who told us we could pitch anywhere. The site is in a lovely rural location but served well by public transport. The showers were clean with plenty of hot water. On Friday afternoon, we walked into Ripley following the public right of way signs from the camp site. Note - you will meet cows on the way and some of the route is pretty muddy! Ripley is small but has a lovely castle, deer park and tea rooms. We caught the bus back to the campsite, not fancying dodging the mud and cows twice. We ate at The Three Horseshoes on Friday night and we pleased to be given a 20% off voucher by Dave to use, even though the food is very reasonably priced. The food was excellent and the locals friendly. On Saturday, we caught the bus at the end of the road into Harrogate and then made the 8 mins train journey to Knaresborough, where we called in to Cooking Fantastic kitchen shop, owned by Tanya. We then went back to Harrogate for lunch and a shop. We will definitely return to Cud Life, the site is basic but has everything we want, the location is excellent and the owners very friendly and helpful.
