“Great base for exploring Yorkshire”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Couldn't ask for a better base for a week exploring North Yorkshire - a charming cottage for two, very well equipped in a a quiet spot in a quiet village. Though the cottage is in the back garden of the owner, it is very private. Stephen and Kate were very helpful, driving us into Harrogate to pick up lost luggage. We'll be back!

“BIJOU VILLAGE COTTAGE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Beautifully decorated and appointed cottage with sheltered and secluded small garden where we could eat outside. All mod cons, very clean and the owners provided a warm welcome as well as pint of milk in fridge and flowers on the coffee table. Very good shop in the village and welcoming pub, plus a ruined castle. Lots of walks in the area by the rivers and in woodlands and close to Wetherby, Knaresborough with famous castle and views. Good local markets. Bus service is good for a village and local train service from Pannal and Harrogate. We loved the privacy, the surroundings and had a relaxing and enjoyable time. You could recommend this property to anyone. We will return.

“An excellent experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

A well thought out and sensitively renovated house in a charming location in a beautiful village, Kate and her husband obviously take the same pride in their cottage as Yorkshire folk take in their county.

“Perfect retreat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

The cottage is beautifully decorated and kitted out to a high standard. The kitchen is well equipped (includes dish washer).; the sitting room and bedroom are very cosy and comfortable. The little outside space is lovely.

This is not the cottage for grand sweeping views of the Yorkshire countryside, but if you are looking for a warm, modern but homely space to return to, it's perfect.

“Perfect cottage in lovely quiet location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

This cottage was perfect, the owners are very welcoming and are on hand for any needs you may have but it also feels very private. It has a real home from home feel with everything you could possibly need from a holiday home. There is a great local shop just around the corner with Harrogate or Wetherby only a couple of miles away. Perfect location for exploring Yorkshire. Would definitely recommend this cottage and would certainly stay again.

“A lovely quiet property with all facilities in immaculate condition and giving access to a wonderful area of England”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2013 for a stay in September 2013

The cottage is in the village of Spofforth only 5 miles from Harrogate with the village having a castle, a really nice shop and two pubs. The property is in immaculate condittion with all the usual facilities and is ideal for a couple who are looking for peace and quiet. The area boasts lovely countryside and offers easy access to North Yorkshire and all its attractions. For those who like shopping Harrogate is very close and you can be amazed by people queueing down the street in the pouring rain to visit a certain tearooms. The Harrogate showground is between the cottage and Harrogate as is Harlow Carr Garden if that is on your itinerary. Highly recommended.
