“Great Budget Hotel”
Reviewed 17 January 2011

An ideal hotel for that short stay. The welcome was friendly and efficient without be too much. I wasn't looking for the sort of welcome I'd get at a B&B or boutique hotel and it was spot on. The room was clean and pleasant although perhaps a tad cold overnight - didn't bother me but did bother my partner! There had been building works undertaken that day and the computer was down along with the Chip & PIN machine but the receptionist efficiently used one of the old-fashioned paper swipe machines. She very kindly put the invoice under the room door once she managed to produce one. The parking was plentiful and the hotel very easy to locate.

We have just returned from a most pleasant break in Harrogate, and will certainly be back.

The Premier Inn is easy to find, and has plenty of parking spaces.

Check in was easy and smooth, the receptionist was extremely helpful (even booking a table for us at the Italian restaurant next door).

Our room was a typical Premier Travel Inn room, clean, all beds made up, and sufficient towels and pillows.

Breakfast was a suitably relaxed and enjoyable experience, perhaps service was a little too leisurely, but hey we were on holiday.

The bar was no more expensive than I had expected, if a little soul less.

Table Table restaurant was fair value without being special.

The neighbouring Brio restaurant was one of the high points of our visit, and we would suggest you make it one of yours too.

What a shame, we steyed here two years ago and it was was fine, This time we were on the ground floor and the whole corridor smelt unpleasant as did the room despite the window being open. The unpleasanf smell permiated our night clothes and was noticibale at out next dstination. The attahched restaurant was fine, nothing special but you get what you pay for. This is not a cheap Premier Inn to stay at and I'm afraid to say that compared to our previous stay it was poor, peeling paint on the ceiling above the bath/shower, the sanitary bin in the bathroom had not been emptied since the previous occupents which leads you to wonder just how well has the room been cleaned. These doubts about the cleanilness of the room have a knock on affect on your ability to relax and sleep comfortably. We didn't complain because we were only staying one night, had it been any more we would definately have asked to be moved to a better room, or would have cancelled our booking.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. Location is on the outskirts of Harrogate on the edge of a business park but a short drive or long walk would see you in the centre easily. The pub/restaurant attached to the hotel is adequate if you don't mind chain restaurants - we chose to eat at an Italian restaurant across the road which was informal and very family orientated.
Our room was clean but very warm and with no air con became rather stuffy even with the window open, fans are available as the hotel would appear to accept they have a problem.
Breakfast is very good compared to other travel inns, my only criticism is that on weekdays breakfast ends at 9am and the staff are busy clearing away around you, we were on a leisure break as were most of the other guests so did not like the idea of such an early end to breakfast time. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

harrogate is a nice yorkshire town , safe to walk around etc and has a upmarket feel to it

the premier inn is loacted on the outskirts of town , its a 20 mins walk to the center or a 3 min train ride (the train station is one minute away on foot)

we found the staff to be very friendly and willing to help , the room was clean and fresh , the bathroom sealant in our was getting due for reburbishment and was the only fault i could find in the room

our room had a phone ..i noticed another reviewer mentioned they didnt ?

car parking was ample in the evening when we arrived

the premier has a restuarant attached , plus theres another one over the road you can walk to

Good Value Stopover. Located a little out of the main town area, but not a problem. Harrogate is just beautiful!.
