We booked a one night stay and found the rooms a bit "tired".The decor was not to our taste and the bed not too comfortable.
The restaurant was the best feature with good food and service.
A check-out we were not asked if everything was all right-usually a sign that they get complaints and dont want to hear any more.
Would like to visit Harrogate again but wont stay at this hotel

Room Tip: sorry cant help

IT was real goid value for money the afternoon tea was one of best i have had it even included bubbly!! rroom was very very small though which let it down a littl. they have there own pub which wad really noisy so not very relaxing. eveing meal wad om wasnt much i liked so ended up just having a steak sandwich as not much choice. breakfast was delicous. we love harrogate and was set in lovely area. all in all would go back but not first choice.

My wife and I were simply having a short break in Harrogate, and found this smallish hotel on the web. It really is a delightful find, right in the centre of Harrogate and with excellent parking, although chargeable at £5.00 on a daily basis !
I had booked a 'suite'. Perhaps I have grand ideas, but the suite given was really no more than a large bedroom, although it did have a four poster bed. All linen and the comfort of the bed were fine, as were the tea/coffee/ biscuits etc., but no one from the 'management' has ever tried to find a comfortable chair to sit in, in room 212. Shabby french chic, is possibly the decor theme and it is very pleasant, but broken plaster from a dislodged curtain tie, and worn paintwork on surfaces does mean that an overhaul is way overdue. The bathroom was clean and tidy with lovely towels but minute, and certainly not suitable for a guest of larger proportions.
Breakfast was strange. The fresh fruit on day 1 was water melon and pineapple, sort of just chunked up, whilst on day 2 there was the addition of some fresh orange pieces. No grapefruit juice, but the orange juice was of good quality. Service was pleasant but incredibly slow on day 1. A finally very good, full cooked breakfast took over 20 minutes to arrive, and that was after a ten minute wait for an order to be taken. Day 2 was slightly better, and the food again when it arrived was very good.
Reception staff were very pleasant, and the whole experience of staying at the hotel was good, but all is not well around the edges.

Room Tip: 212 suite was very pleasant, but tired. A nice view of part of the town.

I have high expectations when it comes to service and sadly this is what stopped me going for a 5 overall...

This is a great boutique hotel in a lovely part of Harrogate. The rooms are great but do suffer from slightly dated bathrooms if I'm being picky but overall couldn't really fault them.

I stayed mid week on business on a dinner, bed and breakfast rate which allowed us to select any 3 courses from any menu in the Brasserie - couldn't be easier, we'll done guys :-)

Check in was rubbish and a bit of a let down but no big problem - stand in receptionist maybe?

The food was AMAZING, there is really no other way to describe it! Not a huge menu but a perfect variety and the taster dessert was EPIC!

The restaurant was let down by the level of attentiveness, I had to wait to get someone's attention a couple of times and I had an empty glass that was ignored! When they arrived they were fantastic but they needed to be a little more attentive!

Great nights sleep, comfy bed and nice and quiet.

Breakfast was also good and the girl on checkout was lovely - a vast improvement over the previous experience!

Fantastic value and an enjoyable stay, I will be back for a weekend break without question.

Room Tip: Book early!

Just back from a one night stay at the White Hart Hotel.

On arrival was impressed by location and thought hotel looked lovely from the outside however when we got our room was very disappointed. Room was shabby and bath panel was hanging off. As were travelling with our 3 year old son we asked for a move as we didnt want him to injure himself. The second room we were offered was as bad, extension cables lying about, door handle hanging off and damaged furniture. Third room was better although very dark.

Went to have dinner in Fat Badger, the menu was not what we had in the room and was just the same as the restaurant. There was no children's menu - they only have one during day. Food was average with one of meals being overcooked and batter was solid.

On the upside staff were very helpful and tried to help accomodate our requests. We were also told that there is future refurbishment scheduled.

Price was reasonable but this is not a 4 star hotel. Would not recommed for those with young family.

A nice hotel and very central in Harrogate. The room we stayed was not set out very well and was dark. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night and the bed was very comfortable. The worst thing was the creaky floorboards from the room above and the noise the doors make when closing.

I stayed here with my mum for one night. We arrived a little early to check in and reception was very helpful and asked if we would like to leave our bags while we went shopping.
The decor of the hotel is very well done and very cosy.
The bedroom was spacious and adequate space for clothes etc.
breakfast was ok !!! Bit disappointed if I'm honest.. The breakfast Buffett needs more choice - maybe a mixture of fresh fruit some natural yoghurt and a bigger selection of pastries, meats and cheeses. The cooked breakfast however was lovely.
I would stay here again as very central location and staff friendly.
