Second visit to the White Hart. Cant complain. Service and standards first class as always. Will be back a few times over the next year. Highly recommended. Great quality and selection for breakfast. Rooms spotless.

Stayed here on Saturday 9th November. After reading the reviews on here. I cannot understand why people give this hotel bad reviews ? We had a amazing time here. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bed lovely and comfy. Molten brown toiletries in the bathroom . We had drinks in the fat badger . Then a meal later that day which was very nice indeed. Breakfast next morning . Full English . Which again was lovely. Very friendly staff. We will definitely return . Thumbs up for the white hart hotel

Thanks for the Thumbs Up.
Glad to hear that you had an amazing time and made the most of all of the facilities including The Fat Bdger and The White Hart Brasserie.
Keep an eye on our facebook page as we often put up special offers of any packages and deals we are doing as we do want yoiu to come back to see us.
I see that you live in York and just wondered if you had tried our sister properties The Guy Fawkes Inn or The Lamb & Lion in York City Centre close to the York Minster as they are also worth a visit if your passing.

We stayed here Friday 8th November for my birthday. The hotel is really lovely it has been refurbished to a high standard and attention to detail. Our room was quite small but very clean and beautifully decorated . We had drinks in the Fat Badger which feels like a pub very welcoming and great atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning was lovely in the brasserie . Would definitely stay again .

Haven't stayed here but met up with friends for post wedding coffee. Staff were quite helpful and room was really nice - but the highlight had to be the freshly baked fruit scones with ample jam and cream!!! Delicious!"

Stayed here for 3 nights while on business. Very pleasant receptionist on arrival who was also very helpful.

We had several rooms between us & all were rather small with very little room but for bed & a couple of bedside tables which felt rather claustrophobic. Decor was average although looked a little tired. The bathroom was rather dated however, did the job. Would've expected a little more for the money but no major complaints. The rooms are what I'd say let's the hotel down.

The restaurant was lovely with the waiter being extremely helpful, friendly but not intrusive & the food delicious! We tipped him accordingly of course! Lovely service.

The bar has a great atmosphere & tends to be busy. Difficult to get served at times but to be expected when so busy.

Location is really good - right in the centre with lovely shops, cafés & restaurants surrounding.

Car parking provided at a cost. Reasonable price - would be better if free when staying at hotel of course!

Overall a nice hotel with rooms requiring a little upgrading. More space would be great although impossible to create in rooms as they are.

Thank you for your valued feedback.

I can confirm that we are currently working on a refurbishment and maintenance programme for the hotel and will be looking at upgrading the rooms and the reconfiguration of the furniture within the rooms to maximise on the space available.

In preperation of this we have just regraded all of the room types within the hotel into different size catergories to ensure that people are aware of the standard of rooms they book. Starting from our Smaller Badger Rooms, Standard Rooms, Superior and our Larger Executive Rooms

I kept asking if they could deal with the smell coming from the mattress in my room, but they just told me I should put another duvet on top of it. This did not work, and I was forced to sleep in this bed with this unpleasant smell all around me. When the staff came to inspect they denied that they could smell anything.

After going back through our records of May this year and speaking to the Housekeeping & Reception Staff along with the Duty Managers and unfortunately we have no recollection of your complaint.
As far as I am aware there was new mattresses purchased for the Hotel at the beginning of the Year and the majority of the bedrooms have had these replaced.

I have travelled to Harrogate many times and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Woke up at 4.20am to someone trying to get in to our room! Rang the Night Porter more times then I care to remember to receive no answer. When we finally got hold of him he were rather abrupt. Waited over 50 minutes for Breakfast the first day then had to cancel due to having a train to catch. On the second Morning there were no sausages. I only ordered toast, beans and sausages yet were not advised beforehand and had to actually ask where they were. In keeping with the general pattern of our stay the staff were rude on both Breakfast times. Our breakfasts were refunded but this offers little satisfaction considering £10 for beans on toast is beyond acceptable anyway. We reported our disappointment to the deputy manager who asked me to email on my return. Did so 6 days ago and had no reply. Simply wanted an acknowledgement of our spoilt break in Harrogate yet they could not even offer us that. I understand problems happen but how they are dealt with makes a huge difference yet the staff at this hotel appear to care little about there guests.
