Stayed here for 1 night as on a hen party. Rooms booked 6 months in advance. We arrived early and checked in but weren't able to get in rooms until later which was to be expected. When we got in our room it was fine but very poor views, then we looked in the bathroom!!!!!! It was a disabled wet room no bath just a wheel chair accessible shower. We had saved up for this weekend and didn't expect those facilities. We phoned reception to complain and were told the hotel was booked and basically it was tough! We explained that we had booked 6 months ago and why had it not been pointed out before it might have been nice to have been asked if we were happy with the facilities. Later in day they phoned to say they had had a cancelation if we were interested, we ended up being upgraded to a twin room at no extra charge and a bath!!!!! In the end we were very happy with the service we received.

Room Tip: A lot of the rooms have restricted or poor views, there is a lovely park at the front so ask for that

Had our 40th Anniversary at the White Hart, drinks in the Fat Badger first then up to a private room for 40 people all eating off a varied menu, all served at the same time and it went like a dream. Food and service was excellent. Thank you to Louisa and her staff.

If I'd have read some of the negative reviews I might have give this hotel a miss, however I'm glad I'd booked first then seen some of the bad press. I was apprehensive, due to the comments, but they couldn't have been more misplaced if they tried. The lobby and reception is welcoming and front of house staff were pleasant, polite & professional. Our room was lovely, clean & tidy, with shabby chic furniture. The hotel is ideally placed for sightseeing & I would recommend this hotel to friends. Definitely returning

We stayed 14th august in a superior room dont know yet why it was called this but anyways, its a grand old building but it does need updating we stayed in room 216,there was hair in the plug hole which is not very nice, beds were a little hard, the only real downside was the noise from above the floor boards we could hear every movement made until they went to bed,the breakfast was ok, dont think we would stay here again but it is a great location.

Just visited the White Hart for the third time in a year. Still cant find fault. Everything i need in an hotel. Clean, tidy, friendly staff and good food. Highly Recommended. We booked 3 twin rooms and each room was perfect

Room Tip: Rooms at the front can be more subject to dtreet noise...ask for a room to the rear
