“A B&B Worth Five Star Rating”
Reviewed 20 April 2013

We stayed here from Tuesday 9th April 2013 until Monday 15th April 2013.
Franklin View is really first class, spotlessly clean, accomodation and Jennifer is a really wonderful and friendly hostess. It is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the Town Centre but frequent buses to the centre stop about 100 meters away in Kings Road.
We had the Macdui room with single beds and a well appointed en-suite bathroom with shower. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen clean and crisp. We had use of the lounge in the evening which was very nice and also comfortable. There is a fridge for the use of guests on the landing.
Breakfast was huge, with many choices, and Jennifer makes super porridge on request.
In our opinion Jennifer could not do more to make us welcome and we would not hesitate to recommend this accomodation to anyone who would like to stay in Harrogate. If we go to Harrogate again this would be our first choice.

Room Tip: Any of the three rooms would be equally suitable.

Stayed here over Valentines w/end having stayed last year.
Jennifer is such a nice host and everything is 1st class.
Lovely fresh ingredients for breakfast, large well appointed room.
Really cant remember anywhere better, and that would include fancy hotels.
Will return when we are in Harrogate again.
No hesitation in recommending because you wont get looked after better
Thanks again Jennifer and Alan

Our 2 night stay was faultless. Excellent little B+B. Jennifer, the landlady, is friendly, chatty, efficient, and makes you feel completely comfortable. Rooms are large, well equipped, and spotless. About a 10 minute walk to town through tree lined avenues, has you in the town centre. The full english breakfast was filling and tasty, and a selection of cereals, fruits and yoghurts were also available. I would have no hesitation in recommending this B+.B, and will definitely be booking in again on my next trip to Harrogate.

We are a mature couple, but still very active. We have just stayed at Franklin View over the week-end. Everything was great, spotlessly clean, lovely breakfast, ideal location for a short walk into Harrogate. Couldn't fault it in anyway at all.

We quickly felt welcome like friends in this 3 room B & B. Our hostess Jennifer had all the time in the world for us. Only 15 mins walk at most to rail station/bus station. Handy for visiting spectacular Leeds.
Meanwhile in Harrogate tons of good restaurants and short bus ride to beautiful gardens of RHS Harlow Carr where we recieved 50% discount just for going on the bus!! Andrew & Maxine.

Room Tip: Just talk to friendly hotelier!

We visit Harrogate twice a year and have been doing so for may years. We always stay at Franklin View as it is the best. Jen and Allan who own the Guest House, they cannot do enough for you, although it is Jen who runs the B & B. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. You have tea making facilities with plenty of different teas and coffee. It is always lovely and warm in the Guest House as whatever the weather the heating is always on. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and the breakfast you get lasts you right through the day until your evening meal. There is also a fridge on the landing for you to use. It is situated only 5-10min walk from the town centre where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Cant wait to go back which wont be now until Easter 2013.

We've been meaning to write a review for a while as we had such a brilliant stay. We visited Harrogate in May 2012 and found this b&b online and were impressed with the excellent reviews. We can see why! Jennifer was such a lovely, friendly lady who has a fantastic home and a beautiful garden - you can tell both her and her husband take great pride in their b&b. She met us at the door as soon as we arrived and showed us straight to our room and gave us an idea of where to visit and eat and where to avoid!

The room was beautiful, warm and had all the items you need or forget on a weekend break! Really impressed with the availability of a small fridge and proper chocolate bars with the tea & coffee making facilities lol!

Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was amazing! Just as well we took the bikes to burn it off! Ideal location, parking facilities and a beautiful home - couldn't recommend it more!
