“"What a wee gem"”

We stayed at the Franklin View Guest House whilst visiting the Great Yorkshire Show. The guest house is conveniently located with a 10 minute walk to town centre and the bus station.

Jennifer greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us to a beautiful big and bright room with a bay window at the front of the house. The en-suite spotless with fluffy towels and lovely toiletries.

The breakfast served choices of fruits, yoghurt, cereals and juices together with a delicious Yorkshire breakfast cooked to order.

We would highly recommend the Franklin View and will definitely return to this "wee gem" on our next visit to Harrogate. Thank you Jennifer - the perfect host !

We have just returned from a weekend watching the Tour de France in Harrogate. From start to finish Jennifers attention to detail, outstanding level of service and hospitality have been amazing. Having phoned many hotels and B&B's only to find that their prices were astronomical due to the Tour I finally found Franklins View where Jennifer wanted no more than her usual very reasonable rate.

Prior to arriving Jennifer emailed us updating us about the road closures and expected traffic delays. On arrival she greeted us by name and continued to enhance our stay with the little details that make a good B&B to a great one.

Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, with a great hospitality basket and even a couple of Kit Kats. Jennifer spent time to ensure we had everything we needed and imparting her local knowledge, advising on local restaurant (the two she recommended were brilliant). The en suite was spotless, towels fluffy, shower powerful and the toiletries provided were great quality.

From the Tour de France knitted bunting, to the little wire bikes on the breakfast table (which we got to take home as a souvenir) to Jennifers cycling themed pinny and even advice for saddle soreness!! she just made our stay unforgettable.

Add in a proper Yorkshire breakfast, amazing toast, stacks of fresh fruit and a quality cup of tea and you have a B&B beyond measure.

Thank you Jennifer......we'll be back

This is an outstanding B&B and we have nothing but praise for Jennifer for her warm welcome, her superb breakfasts and her extremely comfortable rooms. She could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Franklin View is located in a quiet road only a short walk from the town centre and Jennifer provides much local information concerning places of interest and places to eat. We stayed five nights and we can highly recommend this excellent B&B to anyone wishing to visit Harrogate.

We have stayed here before and once again found the warmth of welcome and quality of the accommodation outstanding. Forget your boutique hotels, Jennifer sets the benchmark for proper good old fashioned bed and breakfast excellence. Everything is top notch, from the well decorated large room, the comfortable bed, thoughtful accessories and lovely bathroom; The hospitality tray is generous and there is real attention to detail - down to the powerful hairdryer and super-generous hospitality tray. The provision of glasses, a corkscrew and a fridge on the landing for guests use is typical of the care and cosseting shown to guests. Her breakfasts are simply superb, generous, beautifully cooked and using quality local ingredients. Jennifer we salute you as a shining beacon of excellence and a truly lovely hostess.

Room Tip: We like Nevis - its large, well laid out and comfortable.

We have stayed at Franklin View a number of times . It is a B & B we look forward to coming back to. The rooms are spacious and fresh and the breakfasts are delicious. Jennifer is the perfect hostess. It's a pleasant walk into town for dinner.

Thanks to Jennifer our marvellous hostess who made our two night stay a real pleasure. The room was immaculate. The breakfast was delicious and very filling. The next time we are in Harrogate this will be the only place we will be staying at.
