“Harrogate Dog Friendly Caravan site”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

Just returned from 2 weeks at Harrogate Caravan Park.Neat clean site with very friendly host/wardens. Great shower block, huge field very close by to walk the dog and superb food pub across the same field to give an excuse to walk the dog. Sainsburys within walking distance and a great local food hall next door. Harrogate centre 5 min away with plenty street parking and lots of great shops. Easy access to major roads to visit attractions so a good centre for a holiday. Left the day before Hurricain Bertha. Weather we had was brilliant

Stayed at this great little site 1st weekend of Aug 14 ..
First very easy to find. If you know the great yorkshire show ground even easier.
The welcome from the wardens when arrived couldn't of been better - very easy to find any pitch.
Pitches for tents are large - good job as I have a large tent.
Warden was kind enough to ask if we have set up ok in the rain and had a quick chat.
Toilets/shower block was always spotless. Wash up area always spotless in fact everythin about the site was kept to high standards.

I can see that this site would be busy during the big shows held at the show ground as a small site.

Fodder is a great cafe n local produce shop - great for sausage and burgers for a BBQ and for those special fry up breakfasts - on the side road to the site. Large sainsbury's at the junction with the main road - so easy to do the food shop for your stay once unpacked and set up.

Would stay here again

We would usually stay at nearby Rudding Park but with the price at £33 per night compared to £22 here we thought we would give it a go. It is a lovely site and we got a very warm welcome from the warden. Pitches are a good size and the site is spotless clean and very well maintained. The shower/wash facilities were spotless too. If you come out of the entrance and turn left and follow the road that you drive in, you come to Fodder which is a restaurant/shop selling local farm produce, it is literally a 2 minute walk and we had breakfast outside with our little dog which was very enjoyable. If you then carry on another 2 minutes you reach the big sainsburys. We got a taxi into Harrogate on the sat evening and had a night out, taxi was £8 into the centre. Yes this site doesn't have a club house but with pubs and facilities so close you don't need one. We will definitely be back.

Just spent 1 night at this excellent camp site. Shower block pristine. Could not believe we were so close to Harrogate on a peaceful site. Staff Ann & Ian very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go again and next time will stay for longer.

We went for the weekend and had a lovely time. The welcome was very warm and the staff always helpful. The pitches were spacious, the showers were spotless and the cost very reasonable. We will certainly return.
