My wife and I booked into the Wellington Inn Darley, this is about 20 mins. from Harrogate and well placed for the Dales. We loved our stay and Christine and her Staff (all) were lovely, friendly and very attentive all with a smile. Although this beautiful old Inn is in need of some fresh decor, it's warm comfortable atmosphere makes up for it. Our room had all you required although the shower curtain needed changing for a new one, all was well, our evening meal was wonderful and plenty of it all served fresh and hot, after a good nights sleep breakfast was just as good as the evening meal which set's you up for the day. Will we be back? of course and looking forward to it! Well done to you all, kind regards Mervin & Kathleen dove

Room Tip: floor level was good for us

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Wellington Inn, what an ideal setting. The hospitality was second to non, all the staff and i mean all, were attentive no matter the time of day. They took pride in what they were doing and this was natural to them. There was an excellent choice of menu and the food was locally sourced, prepared and served to a very high standard and plenty of it. You certainly do not leave the dining area disappointed. The rooms were adequate looking tiered and in need of some TLC. But plans are in place for refurbishment in this area this year. My husband and I will definitely look forward to revisiting. To everyone at the Wellington Inn well done.

Room Tip: Room 2 ground floor. easy access to car park.

We recently stayed at this hotel the staff were helpful and welcomed us with a needed cup of tea. The twin room was quite large and comfortable and clean, the bathroom was a bit shabby but all the amenities were there. We had dinner in the hotel which was very good, well served and hot and plentiful .The breakfast which was included was excellent very large and hot it kept us fed all day.

Kind and friendly staff. Great ambience...not to busy but busy enough! The food is wonderful! (I recommend the pork!) and reasonable for what you get. Can't complain about any off it! We went as a family (6 of us) and all ordered starters and main courses which came out at good times. The starters arrived 15 min after being seated, with mains to follow after 20 min.
I have been back since and nothing has changed my positive mind about this place!

I called in on a Sunday lunch time to find that there were 2 piles of dog muck in the seating area
The table I sat at was stuffed with cigarette ends between the wood.
It was obvious they had been there for days if not weeks
Cigarette ends also littered the outside entrance to the bar area
I left after one drink having planned a couple of beers and a meal

We stayed here with a group of 24 walkers for three days and had a marvellous time - we were so well looked after and the choice and presentation of food was superb. (Very very large portions though). Some lovely wines at reasonable prices and our room was fine - a bonus was lots of shelf space in the bathroom!! A great place for getting out and about in North Yorkshire. All the staff were helpful and very professional. Thank you.

Room Tip: We were in Room 9 which was twin and very quiet and comfortable.
