We booked a Premier Plus room as a treat. The Reception staff put balloons in the room for my Daughter (who loved the surprise as we entered our room) and a lovely 'Happy Birthday' handwritten note from the staff. We loved the room itself - being on the top floor was the best, as nobody was above us. I wondered if the rooms were soundproofed, as it's the 1st Premier Inn stay that we haven't heard the 'neighbours' or the loud fans! The downside - upon entering our room, we could smell cigarette smoke. We complained to Reception and the lady came with us to inspect 'the smell'. We thought it was coming from the bathroom fan, which unfortunately wasn't working. We were offered a different room (a standard room) which we didn't want to downgrade to, so we just left the bathroom door closed and used the Aircon. We were offered a free breakfast, which was lovely. All-in-all, it was a pleasant stay and the staff were very helpful and lovely. Just be careful with parking - there's limited spaces and it's easy to park in the Costa parking spaces by mistake. (And remember to register your car registration details at Reception). We walked to the Gloucester Quays shopping area (a 2 minute walk, if that) you can walk by the side of Costa and the multi storey carpark or can walk through the main Gloucester Quays entrance doors.

We've just had two nights in room 219 at this large Premier Inn.
Standard room with plenty of space.
A good bathroom and shower but that Hypnos bed, that ensured a wonderful night's sleep (poor Lenny Henry is probably still out there, still 'well away' in a field somewhere) was bloody awful.
The mattress was well used and lumpy and the pillows were hard and wafer thin.
The duvet caused us to get way too hot, so we took it out of it's cover and slept under that. It was better.
When we saw the duvet in the morning it was stained beyond belief. It doesn't need laundering, it needs burning!
There were many stains on the duvet. I've included just one picture.
Also, the WiFi is non existent. When I complained the lady on reception said she has complained too. "It's terrible" she said. She gave me the code for the 'Ultimate' WiFi but told us not to get hopeful. That was useless too.
We won't be staying here again.

room was cold, heating did not work properly, pillows very uncomfortable, woke up with aching neck, I would not stay here again, also the breakfast was served in a different building in a restaurant opposite the hotel, however no one tells you this until you wonder around the hotel on different floors looking for a sign to the restaurant and eventually find a staff member to ask.

We arrived at the premier inn double plus room expecting it to be a bit nicer than just a normal room but it wasn’t there was 2 of us I paid for 2 adults there was only one hand towel and only 1 bath towel the coffee machine didn’t work the bed was awful it was so uncomfortable we didn’t sleep all night the room was so hot we couldn’t turn the temperature down i thought paying extra money for a better room would have given us a more comfort and I would be able to enjoy a nice coffee but clearly i was wrong
It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had I will never use premier inn again I wish I booked with Travelodge just a few minutes away I am very disappointed in premier inn and I will definitely not be using them again…

It’s our 4th stay at the Gloucester Quays hotel and we love it, the location is bang on!! only now we pay that bit extra for the Preimer Plus rooms which really do make a difference to our stay..All the plus rooms are located on the top floor meaning it’s quiet, the decor even in the corridor areas are much nicer, with the rooms feeling more boutique and pleasing, the additional extras of coffee machine, rain shower and fridge make all the difference. Great value for money.
