“Budget but New”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

A bit of a mixed stay, fairly clean and upgrade is better but still missing a few touches like a tv that is tuned correctly with the channels advertised and a comfy chair rather than damaged plastic. If i report faults and give all day to fix them its a good idea for the faults to be fixed 10 hours later surely without requiring a complaint. Staff tried hard but cant do or be everywhere. You get what you pay for in this world. Lets hope next time its a bit more fun.

It isn't glamorous but it is good value. The hardest part was finding the parking which is actually the shopping outlets parking, however by raking your card to hotel reception the cost us considerably reduce to £2 for overnight parking. The breakfast was of a better standard than some other travelogues. Next time I would arrive earlier to take advantage of the shopping centre, it closes at 8pm

Room Tip: Ask for an even numbered room they are at the back of the hotel nit overlooking the main rise, altho...

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with our room. It was clean and very comfortable and pleased to see that Travelodge now seem to provide two pillows per customer. The bathroom was a little on the small side but it didn't really matter for only 2 nights. Considering the good location near the shopping centre and docks and the amazing price this place is to be recommended. You could easily pay alot more and get a worse room in other parts of the city.

Good location but walls are thin so very noisy hotel; even heard a mobile phone orating next door! Heating/aircon doesn't work in all rooms (known to staff). Wifi £10/day on website, £3/day on arrival

Room: Nice double size bed, very comfortable. Did not use the TV as it does not have too many channels to choose. Two sockets for the entire room (I personally miss a socket above the bed to plug in my phone or tablet). The toilet was ok, shower working properly.
Breakfast service: Normal. Apple or orange juice and coffee, scrambled eggs, beans, bacon, sausages and tomatos.
Wifi: slow
Staff: Helpful and nice.
In short, low budget hotel, perfect for your basic needs.

Hotel is clean and ideally sited to visit all of Gloucester City attractions. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Drink prices are a little on the expensive side but plenty of local pubs within a short walking distance. Room was clean and well maintained. Bathroom was also clean and had a decent shower. Breakfast was adequate but not much choice on the hot buffet. Overall a pleasant and reasonably priced overnight stay.

You can normally get good rates at this place. Well situated with restaurants and bars nearby.

The hotel is chain fayre, but clean. The beds are fantastic, if you get my drift.

Didn't try the restaurant but there is a fantastic Chinese around the corner. Near to Kingsolm for the egg chasing.
