“Very convenient”
Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed here for 2 nights. We parked easily but found the signage for the Travelodge from the car park slightly confusing. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was fine, windows that opened, clean and (new) comfy bed. Only gripe was that the shower curtain was not long enough meaning water on the floor and we had to use hand towel to mop floor and stand on. Very convenient location for Docks and town, we were very satisfied.

We stayed here for one night as we were in town for a wedding. The parking was a bit confusing and not very clear but we sorted it eventually. Too busy and loud. The room was to an ok standard and the breakfast was ok the following day. Cheap price you get what you pay for.

Travelodge is travelodge, as we know what we are going to get before arriving. The rooms are basic but functional and you need your own soap etc but towels are provided. You only get 30 minutes free wifi but you can pay for extra (£12 for a week - £3 for 24hrs). The disappointment for me was the breakfast, I don't think it's worth the money and next time would go elsewhere to eat. The location of the hotel is really good as it's near all the local attractions (Quays, shops etc) and you can park in the 'Outlet Shops' multi-storey car park for £2 because Travelodge have an agreement with them.

Room Tip: Take a higher floor on the front for the views and away from the traffic noise.

We booked this travelodge as it was cheaper and said that the hotel was in a shopping centre. On arrival we realised that the hotel was next to a busy bar that played very loud live music. This went on until after 1am! We had a 4 month old baby with us and would not have booked if we had realised it was next to a bar. The night reception staff were rude and unhelpful when we complained. In the morning we were transferred to another hotel for the remainder of our stay and our complaints were finally listened to.

As it says in the title.Room like an oven and a pathetic littleheater set at zero to waft minimal room hot air into its immediate vicinity was the stated equivalent to air conditioning. Staff uninterested and lacked empathy. Avoid-unless you want to "sleep" in a sauna overnight.....

Stayed here while attending an event nearby.
Trying to park the car was an ordeal, signage really needs to be better or more info on the website regarding it. When you arrive late at night the last thing you want is to be driving around trying to find the car park.
Was pleased with the ease of checking in, the staff member on duty was very pleasant and helpful.

Our room was nice and clean and the bed was comfy.
Only slight downside was that we had to listen to club music from nearby until the early hours.

We had to check out early to attend an event, we had booked breakfast but it wasn't served until after 8am which was annoying.
However the girl on reception was very good and got us lots of cereal, croissants and toast.

There are a number of issues that need urgent attention:
1) I called the hotel directly after making the online booking, to ensure that our requirements were noted - a family room with one child bed and one cot. We arrived to find that the cot had not been provided, and that no cot was then available for us. A warning to any parents - take your own travel cot!
2) There were two very dirty socks on the carpet in the room - indicating an inadequate standard of cleanliness
3) The toilet roll holder fails to meet standards of health and safety - the vertical roll holder for a spare roll is hollow and open at the end. In a family room this is dangerous. My three year old son got his finger stuck in the end. Luckily I was able to remove it without injury. A child with even modestly larger fingers would be less fortunate. Simply not good enough in a "family room".
4) One electrical socket did not work
5) The window does not close easily or securely
6) The toilet flush makes a very loud noise when refilling the cistern (air trapped in the pipes I'd guess).
7) The television did not work. We had to retune from scratch every time we turned it on.
