“Noisy”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

We have just returned from one night. The hotel is walking distance from Gloucester city. Reception staff were pleasant. The room was small but clean. The attached Beefeater was very good. Everything very good except the sound proofing of the room was non existent. We were woken at 5.45 by fellow guests. We mentioned it to the receptionist who said, 'that isn't really night time though is it' and that when the hotel was full 'it does get noisy'!!! They did honor their Good Night Guarantee and refund us.

Clean and well presented Hotel, however, we found that the room was somewhat smaller than we have been used to at other Premier Inns, but the shower was brilliant!
Didn't sleep all that well on account that the bed was a bit too hard!
Dinner in the Beefeater next door was up to standard with quick and efficient service. Just wish they could segregate families with small children!

I stay in a lot of Premier Inn's for work reasons and found this one to be good.

The check in was fast and the staff helpful.
The rooms are a little dated compared to other Premier Inn's but it was lovely and clean. As other people have stataed in previous reviews the walls between rooms do seem rather thin!
Luckily I was awake when the occupant of the next room had a shower at 5:30am, as I could hear him having a shower!!

The Beefeater next to the hotel was very busy and I would advise on booking a table.
The meals where very good and the staff where very pleasant.

Lovely hotel. Great breakfast with a wide variety. Lovely staff and a cellar manager who knows all the local brews and which one might you might prefer. The hotel is a 10/12 min walk from Gloucester Centre.

As expressed by other customers the 'Longford, is perfectly located for easy access from the Motorway and for onward travel into Gloucester. My wife and I and two friends spent our second consecutive New Year at this Premier Inn and I can tell you we were so well looked after we were genuinely sad to leave. It didn't matter who the member of staff was, everyone went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable and memorable and this was at a time that everyone was really busy with the influx of visitors. The hotel rooms were typically comfortable, clean and very tidy and great value for money. The restaurant was again very inviting providing lovely food . The waiting, reception and bar staff were simply great. If you haven't done so before try the Bain's Ale from Wales, it's lovely.

The location of the hotel makes it ideal for touring around and if you have never been to this part of the country before then give it a try. Gloucester Quays is a great place to visit with its shopping outlet centre and wonderful Quayside restaurants. Tewksbury is only 20 minutes away and we were a little unsure whether the town was worth a visit. Believe me it has a lovely old town which boast an Abbey built around 1100AD which itself is a 'must not miss' visit. As you enter through to main door you will be stunned by the immense size and beauty of the inside - absolutely inspiring.

The fact that our visit took place when the weather was doing it's best to wash us and everyone else away seemed to become irrelevant; I guess this was because there were just too many distraction for us to care one iota. Can't wait for new year 2015

Room Tip: Absolutely loads of parking available

Excellent location, straight off the motorway and a short walk into Gloucester. A little older than some Prem inns - still need key to open door but good beds and always clean and friendly.
Beefeater restaurant next door serves excellent breakfast.
