This small hill is only 2 miles from the centre of Gloucester. It is well worth climbing for the views in all directions. You can see major landmarks in the city, in particular the cathedral. The Malvern Hills can be seen to the North, The cotswold escarpment, to the East. May Hill, The Forest of Dean, and on a clear day the South Wales mountains, to the west. If you continue over the hill and down the East side you will think you are way out into the countryside. You can then walk back on very pleasant wooded paths around the hill.
