I visited Roots again, with my grandson. Roots is an inclusive warm and welcoming refuge. We had our coffee and icecream alongside many other folk of all ages. It is pitched at making everyone welcome and it succeeds. Such a lovely friendly atmosphere. And then there is the great food choices. Priced appropriately, so you can find affordable options. Roots is a special community cafe...please support it. It delivers a great big hug!

A friend and I brought our two toddlers here for lunch having heard fab things about it.
There was a lovely play area that kept them busy whilst we could have a catch up. The food was lovely, and children’s lunchbox very reasonably priced. Just a short walk from town, we will definitely come back here again.

We had the opportunity to visit Roots four times - twice for breakfast and twice for lunch. The welcome as well as the food was of a high standard on each occasion. A community cafe that really delivers in all respects - not least consistent quality at democratic prices -it caters to all as it claims to do. It is also a great bonus to visitors to the Gloucestershire Archives which are close by.
