A unique and delicious dining experience. This was a birthday treat with friends. Kathryn led us down her lovely garden path to the 'hidden restaurant'. Such a fun experience sitting on reindeer skins around the fire, watching our food being cooked. The meal started with delicious homemade bread and butter served on wooden 'boats' which when finished, we burned on the fire. Great fun!
Kathryn is the most charming and entertaining host who succeeds in making you feel so special and spoilt throughout the evening. Full of information about the local produce and wines we were enjoying.
My hubby likes middle eastern food so the first course was a lamb 'parcel' of herbs, spices and cheese, cooked before us on the fire. Delicious!!
Other highlights included beef steak with aubergines, crepe suzette with pistachio ice cream, all finished off by toasting our own homemade marsh mallows over fire. Sumptuously brilliant!! Great food, great wine, great evening!!
