Arrive later than expected, as it took 40 minutes to find the hotel and park (having found the hotel the car park was full, which mean going round the one way system again to get into the mulitstory car park nearby). The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a room on the 4th floor with an accessible bathroom. The walk-in shower was great, although the floor flooded (not badly) when I used the shower. The sink was small and did not drain quickly. Infact the sink was very small compared with the kettle - which might explain how the sink had been badly cracked. Staff in the bar sorted me a sandwich as I arrive after the gas had been turned off in the kitchen (10.00 pm). Breakfast was good. I had car parking in the public car park included in my stay, but this turned out not to be the case on exit (not best to discover this at the car park barrier). That said, the overnight fee only turned out to be £1.30. Overall a good stay and would stay again.

We stayed in a family room on a deal for £40 for a friday night which was great. The hotel is fairly new and in a good location. Would recommend to anyone having a night out in Derby. The hotel was all you come to expect of a Jurys Inn, clean and bit nicer than your budget chains.

Having stayed in other Jury's Inn hotels I wasn't really expecting much more than a basic hotel, however this one exceeded all expectations. The decor is gorgeous & the room was so clean & comfortable. Breakfasts were lovely & served in a great room.

Had a heck of a time figuring out how to get over to the hotel, given our confusion with 1) driving in England, period; and 2) Derby's busy thoroughfares…but managed to finally guess right and enter the underground parking garage--thank goodness there was an empty space. Oddly enough, there are no stairs or elevator from the garage to the lobby so you need to walk outside, up the ramp and into the front door. Room was clean and quiet and staff members we dealt with were courteous and helpful. Had a pleasant dinner (healthy salad) in the hotel bar and enjoyed walking over the freeway overpass and seeing a bit of what we assumed was downtown Derby. Breakfast was extra but more than ample. If you're a light eater, I'd say skip breakfast at the hotel and walk across the free to one of the many other spots.

Stayed 2 nights via coach tour to see Buxton Military Tattoo.
Warm Welcome from Laura Hollywood Assistant Manager, Tea and coffee offered on arrival, coffee not good tho !!!! but smooth checkin, Rooms very clean and comfortable, the Housekeeping team do a brilliant job keeping all areas of the hotel clean and fresh looking. Dinner and Breakfast served hot and very tasty, Dining room service not as fast as we expected but Bethany looked after us very well as did Robert at Breakfast, Bar prices are bit expensive but all areas clean and well maintained.
Will certainly consider using the Jury Inn group again, Thank you to all at Derby :-)

Room Tip: Ask for room at back of hotel to advoid voices from smokers who use front to smoke

Dear sunloverhampshire

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on trip advisor. I am very happy to hear the team looked after you over the weekend. In regards to the coffee - apologies this was not of a good quality for yourself. Could you elaborate as to what was wrong with it?

I have ensured all team members mentioned in your review have seen your response and they are delighted.

The team on shift over the weekend have said how they enjoyed having Buxton Military group with us - "such lovely people" and I second that comment.

Hopefully we may see you again and once again thank you for your review.

Coach trip with Alfa Travel-not an Alfa hotel so did not know what to expect. Check in went smoothly( 33 of us ) .Catering for a coach party was well organised, got the hang of it after the first evening. The evening routine slightly. Different to normal quests.Food plentiful and plates always hot.Staff and room service very good.Drinks at the bar too expensive (you need to take out a bank loan ) .Only one draw back, no entertainment in the evenings - as at a Lesure Plex. ( Alfa ) hotel.

Room Tip: 5th floor upwards no noise good views.

Clean tidy and practical:
Parking information needs attention - not keen on reversing on to a road - After i found out the car park was full as it was every day - Maybe a sign on the road before you pull up to the barrier - even better when there were three of us in cars.
