Lovely hotel dining room very clean with lovely food both break fast and evening meal all piping hot and waiter/waitresses were very good evening staff were better than breakfast ones ..we stayed in room 433 which was massive 1 double and 2singles beds , the downside is the housekeeping in the bedrooms the shelving unit in our room was thick with dust and where was a half drunk bottle of tonic behind the tv...discusting.... Not sure how long it had been there for.. Aldo we had to ask for a remote for the tv

Stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Friendly staff, quality of service and excellent food. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, business or pleasure. Nice village close by and bus service into Derby, good road access. Very impressive atrium which you can enjoy a drink and relax in the comfortable surroundings. Didn't use the pool but it looked very nice.

Room Tip: Rooms on the East side you get the views of the countryside and great sunrises.

Spent one night here on business. Unfortunately it was a Saturday night and, even more unfortunately, there was a disco. I did not manage to sleep until around 2am due to the noise which was very clearly audible. The room was very large, but everything seemed very dated; it was like taking a trip back to a 1970s Butlins holiday. Breakfast was certainly plentiful. Staff very kind, but I think this hotel (reflected by the clientele also) is for people who are stuck in the past and like things old-fashioned.

A 4 star hotel with all the facilities you would expect. Clean comfortable rooms, a good restaurant with lots of choice at reasonable prices. A mistake was made with my food order on the first night, but was corrected without any fuss. Family friendly, and disabled access.
Would definitely stay again.

The Mickleover is a well run hotel with friendly and helpful staff, is well kept and has good sized comfortable rooms. Parking is always ample. The food in the restaurant is a little expensive and not very imaginative. The starbucks in the downstairs bar is an added bonus.

A great hotel for business or pleasure.
