Description: Creative. Award Winning. Fresh. Friendly. Local. Freshly Baked. Wifi. Cakes. Coffee. Tea. Breakfast. Lunch. Brunch. Opened in 2010 this is a large airy space where you can relax, reflect and rejuvenate. Tucked away at the back of Friar Gate Studios with a 'where on earth is it' style illusiveness, we are here to serve those in the know. The coffee is great and the service is smiley! Our ideal is to create a real feeling of community spirit, a focal point for Derby business folk and local creative's, a place to feel relaxed and a place you'll want to come back to whatever the time of day. We are open for breakfast, lunch and brunch to knock your socks off.

A fantastic cafe, though sadly too well hidden away! Good range of coffee, great service, lovely venue - well worth discovering!

Hidden we maybe....a gem, we would love to think we were! So pleased you discovered us! Thanks for your kind words. We focus on delivering excellent customer service, always with a little chat & a smile. It's really great when it's appreciated, as comments on our coffee are too! We are proud of our Cafe Cereza coffee. See you again soon at Bean Caffe.

A great light lunch and coffee served by friendly staff. Fab surroundings - we love the sofas. A good place to come for lunch and a gossip.

Hello! Thank you for your review. We think we need more sofas for those who love chatting and relaxing whilst lunching! We are having a little furniture update in the near future, so come and see us soon. Same food, same coffee, same cakes!

Hi! Thanks for your great comments about our cafe! So pleased you enjoyed lunch with us. There seem to be a few reviews recently, saying how we are hidden away.....we are here for those who search us out....... People are surprised when they do find us ...We aren't really your usual cafe, we have a great open space and have homemade lunches, more bistro style than cafe style maybe. I'm sure we shall see you again soon. Thanks again for the review.

We are welcoming when you do find us and we love to see new faces here. And our best welcome is always a homemade lunch! You had my favourite....goats cheese tart, freshly baked.......and everyone enjoys a fish finger buttie! Thank you for review and we hope to see you again soon.

I don't know how this place wasn't busier! It's really clean and nicely decorated with very friendly staff who look after you well. We went for brunch and I had Derbyshire pyclets with eggs and bacon. I'd recommend going for the more unusual and local stuff on the menu like I did - eggs benedict is great but there's only so much it can differ from other places. The coffee was really nice too and the outside terrace was good in the sunshine.

Overall probably the best brunch in Derby and I'd definitely return.

Hello and thank you for your review, it's so great when customers take time to post a us lovely comments in today's busy world! So pleased you found us....we are most definitely tucked away, but we are here for those in the know! Share us with your friends and family! Brunch is a busy but relaxed affair in the cafe, menu to suit all tastes we hope! With the summer the way it is at the moment the garden is every ones favourite spot! It's so quiet and sheltered.....a tiny oasis in the city centre!
