We visited Bartlewood Lodge where I had the kingsize and my wife the standard carvery.
For my extra £1.50 I received an extra two yorkshire puddings and believe it or not a sausage.
I selected the beef which was cut from the middle of the joint. It was well done so lord knows what the well done end would be have been like. It was very thinly cut and was tasteless, the cauliflower cheese was devoid of cheese and extremely hard, the roast potatoes were soggy instead of being crispy, the peas were OK but the horseraddish sauce was bland.
All in all it was basicly cheap and nasty. Maybe for the extra cost of the kingsize it would be better not to offer the extra yorkshire puddings and sausage and offer a decent slice of meat instead of the waifer thin cut.
