“Excellent food and service”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

I have eaten in this restaurant several times and never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food has always been excellent. Prices are also very reasonable. From the outside the restaurant does not look much, but inside it much more attractive and tasteful. I would definitely recommend it!

“Great hidden gem”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

Went there last night after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. It was very close to where I was staying so thought I give it go. Earlier in the day I wanted Chinese and here it was, very close to me. We ordered 3 main dishes and they were all good. The only disappointment forensic me was the filet in Chinese sauce. It was a bit too sweet, that in a black bean or spicy sauce would be better. The scallops were wonderful, chow mien great and service very attentive. I'd recommend this place.

“Better than it looks!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014 via mobile

Went for a birthday meal having read the Tripadvisor reviews. Having lived in Derby 30 years thought it was about time to try it! Can't fault it. For under £35 for two people, including drinks, you'd be hard pushed to find better quality and value. Pleasant helpful staff, lovely tasty food. Will be going again most definitely.

“Very nice, but not amazing”
Reviewed 9 May 2014 via mobile

Went with my partne, it's in a location where you've probably drove past numerous of times looked at it and thought not for me. Service is excellent, little dissapointed they never had the brandy advertised on the menu available. Drinks arrived swiftly eveb thou the place was so busy on a Saturday, they served us with a smile on their face which is always nice to see. We ordered 2 starters portion sizes were huge couldn't eat it all but tasted so authentic, mains arrived shortly after, meat was extremely tender very nice indeed. Throughly enjoyed the meal and price was reasonable aswel

“Cheap Eats”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Best option by far for your fix of Chinese Buffet. Well establish restaurant (in the old 524 French Restaurant building, if you remember that !) offering a very broad selection of your favourite dishes at a knock down bargain price. You might not expect the superbly high quality and large choice for the money. Always fresh and guaranteed tasty. Very easy to come and have plate after plate of just starters and miss the mains completely. Best bet is come as they open, then you know it has not been sitting around too long, which it actually never does. Mainly because it is a busy place and they constantly bring out fresh replacements. Check out the squid with salt and chilli, best in town. Also the cashew nuts dipped in honey and rolled in sesame seeds are great. Staff are attentive and helpful.
