“Terrific tea room”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

Have visited the Old Bell tea rooms twice once for coffe/cake and the other for breakfast what a terrific tea room in the centre of town. Prices are quite reasonable compared to other establishments, full english breakfast £6.95, tea £2.75. Staff are very good, service with a smile and the tea room is very light, clean and an enjoyable place to spend time. While I was there someone from one of the other shops on Sadler Gate came in to order drinks a few minutes later one of the staff was on there way to deliver them, what a nice touch.

“Great Atmosphere”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

This place has been left too long and is now in the process of being rebuilt/refurbished not a moment too soon. We had an early evening drink before moving on to dine elsewhere and it was full of charm and character. The service was good and the staff very pleasant.

“Lovely tea room”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

Dropped in here on spec and really enjoyed the home-made cakes.

Tea and coffee were good too, with charming mini-kettle teapots. Nice ambience and excellent service.

Well worth a try.

“Excellent breakfast.”
Reviewed 8 September 2013 via mobile

Fancied a cooked breakfast one sunday morning and ended up here.
11am and it was empty but we stuck with it. So glad, because the food was ace. My hubby's fried eggs were perfect. As was his black pudding. My breakfast was delicious. (See pic)
All it needs is some more decoration inside to feel more homely. Some Plants maybe or pics on the walls? Maybe it isnt finished yet? Theres a very lovely massive ornate mirror. Maybe a couple of sofas at the front near the window would work. Anyway I digress...the cooked breakfast @ 6.95 is fab and I can recommend it.
:-)
