Description: Iberico World Tapas in Derby opened on Bold Lane in the Cathedral Quarter in November 2013. It is the sister restaurant to Iberico World Tapas in Nottingham. Our menu combines the rustic simplicity of Spanish cuisine with the refined ingredients of world cooking. We are delighted to announce that after less than a year of opening we have been awarded a "Bib Gourmand" by the highly regarded Michelin 2015 Guide, recognising exceptional food at a reasonable price. Along with our Nottingham site, we now hold the only Bib Gourmands in the whole of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, and 2 of only 155 in the whole of the UK. We look forward to welcoming you!

I'll start this review with the quality of the service, which was the biggest differentiator for me. We didn't know what to order so we just asked the waitress to decide. She asks if there was anything we didn't like and then proceeded to present us with great food. It started with a smorgers board of cheese and meat and breads, followed by inside out chicken wings, which were amazing and then a whole heap of other stuff.

Even the table next to us asked what we had ordered and then did the same.

A great addition to the Derby dining collective.

Went midweek with some friends. We had the early express menu which was excellent value. Beet root salad and inside out chicken wings to die for.

Went for a meal on a saturday night......very busy but worth the wait. Great atmosphere and food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and knowledgable of the various dishes we had. Not sure of the price as i didnt pay. I wish it was closer to home so i could go again.

Couldn't decide between a 4/5 or 5/5..

Went here on a Saturday night; booked in advance for 8pm but emailed to be informed that we would need to be clear of table by 10pm. I am never a fan of being told how long a meal will take and to be honest, would have struggled if we had sweets and coffees.

On arrival, it was very busy but also a nice buzz and vibe to the place. Shown straight to our table and given chance to look at menus (offered drinks straight away). Offered help with selecting dishes based on hunger and size of group, but ended up with a couple of platters with bread and olives for starters and 8 tapas dishes for mains.

The starters were nice but the tapas were even better - really high quality and well presented.

Service throughout the night was very good despite the place being full most of the time.

Like others have said, prices are high end but the food is worth it. It would be more of an occasional place than a regular place - £140 for 4 people including 2 bottles of wine is a bit higher than similar tapas in Spain/Balearic Islands. Also note that the optional gratuity is automatically added to the bill - we didn't mind as the service was good and would have been tipped anyway.

This place is fab. The food is excellent, really tasty and freshly cooked. These guys know what they are doing with tapas. The staff are really friendly and attentive, they also have special menus for allergies and intolerances. We were particularly hungry so ordered breads, olives and cheese platter to start. Main dishes were Beef Onglets, Fisherman's paella, Chorizo in red wine, Gambas a la plancha, Squid with salt and lime (and something else I can't remember). All delicious but the beef was amazing. The churros for pudding were also great. The only disappointing thing is that I live too far away to eat here every week. Highly recommended.
