I stayed here with my partner and her two parents for one night as a stop over on our travels. The first thing we encountered was the very very friendly staff that made us all feel very welcome. The rooms were clean and tidy and exactly what we needed. Convenient location and would stay here again.

We booked 1 night at the Premier Inn South so that I could visit Willersley Castle my birthplace in 1944. At that time it was run as a maturnity hospital by the Salvation Army. Our stay at the hotel was good and the staff very helpful. We really enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and found the service and the price excellent. The rooms were very clean although quite basic. Tv's were old and only 19" and missing were Face clothes, little bottles of shampoo, small bars of hand soap and an extra blanket. Wifi was 1/2 hour free only and after that £3 for 24 hours.
Overall experience was however good.

We stayed here whilst attending a football match. Siobhan on reception was friendly on arrival and gave us a map of how to get to the football ground from the hotel. The room was clean and functional, but the kettle had seen better days and we had to hold the switch down to make it boil. The rooms on our side of the hotel faced a busy road, but surprisingly we slept very well. Breakfast was served in the adjacent Oast House, and the staff were friendly and helpful but some of the cups were badly stained. We also had a light meal in the pub and the staff were friendly & welcoming. There was plenty of parking near the hotel and it was close to eating places such as Frankie & Benny's and McDonalds. It was also close to a cinema and Sainsbury's supermarket. The televisions we a bit old but worked OK, but the fan in the room was useless. A makeover would freshen up this hotel, and the staff, although friendly, could do with a uniform to make them look smarter, as they looked a little unprofessional despite their pleasant demeanour.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the road if you are bothered by noise.

We had the large family room which was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great to have the bowling alley and Pizza Hut just next door.
Breakfast was also very good....
The location was great as you have a choise of food outlets nearby and the hotels bar and restaurant was also nice.

Room Tip: Family room is large!

Booked on line as a last minute job and because of it's location, everything smooth, standard reception room clean and reasonably presented,TV could do with updating but it was not an issue with me because I never watched it, one of the old tube bulky types, bed comfortable and bathroom fine as you would expect paid the [extra] £8.25 for breakfast which was faultless staff very attentive, the bottom line for me is fine for a one night stay at short notice but for £70.25 for a BnB is I feel a tad steep if I'd have had more time I would have shopped around.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor disabled room which was fine.

Booked two rooms here for our family of 5 and phoned ahead to ensure rooms were together. NOTE: They do not have interconnecting rooms - but read on. On arrival we were firstly told that we could have had the "large" family room but the hotel was fully booked now and this room was also booked. We were then told that our rooms were not together ??

However, why does this premier inn not put 2 rooms booked together as normal policy ?

The hotel itself is very tired and needs upgrading with new TV's etc but it is located on an estate with bingo, cinema, pizza hut etc. We wouldn't recommend the restaurant attached as they appeared over-whelmed and dirty dishes everywhere.

We stayed here for one night when we went up to Derby for a wedding. Excellent location with the cinema opposite and an attached restaurant and bar. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent, although we did have to wait a while for it.
Would stay there again!
