We stayed here for one night whilst attending a party nearby. Lovely old building in a charming village. The landlady wasn't in when we arrived and a fairly brusque 'house-sitter' let us in. Once we'd deduced which room we were in (no room numbers!) we took in the lovely French country-style white furniture and en-suite. The room was in the eaves which caused a few head bumps (we're both fairly tall) and the furniture was a little over-large for the bijoux room size. Very comfortable bed and a useful stool and dressing table. The shower was adequately pressured and the bathroom was clean. Only minor negative was the ubiquitous glass shelf above the small sink - which made bending down to wash one's face quite difficult.
After an excellent night's sleep, we headed down for a perfectly adequate full english breakfast, complete with much hugging and general touchy-feeliness from the landlady (quite amusing as my boyfriend hates that sort of thing!). The addition of fruit and yoghurt would have been nice in my opinion, as would the option of other fruit juices.
Our only major gripe was that although we had advised of wheat-intolerance in our booking email, and again when we went down for breakfast, this seemed to be ignored when I was presented with fried bread and sausages! We were treated to a rendition from the professional opera-singing landlady and then took our leave. Reasonable value for money overall.
