Brewery Farm House
Ranked #3 of 44 Swindon B&B and Inns
Reviewed 23 May 2014

It was our first time to the UK and particularly were interested to travel down to the South West area to see where the wife's grandmother was born and grew up.
Having been told about B&B,s we weren't sure but after researching trip advisor decided to stay with Anne and Colin at the Brewery Farm House.
We hired a car for 4 days out of Heathrow and drove down to a Swindon, taking about 1 and 1/2 hours.
We were very well looked after and the accomodation is very clean and exceptionally presented by the hosts who can't go out of their way enought to look after you.
They have many repeat customers, and regulars that prefer the homely surrounding rather than a corporate motel chain.
The breakfast is to die for, although it is a full english breakfast you can choose what you want left off.
It's worth looking around in Swindon if you like shopping, you can also do the rail steam museum. Day trips are easy to do and you must ask Anne about the villages to go through in the Cotswolds on your way to Bourton on the Water. It is a quaint village with heaps to see and do, including the auto museum. The Main Street has plenty of small restaurants and plenty of local shops to spend time hunting through.
After staying just the 4 days we feel that we have known Anne and Colin for years, whilst it will not be possible to visit regularly we shall be emailing them from time to time, that's how good you get looked after and treated.
Great trip, great people and great accommodation with personalised looking after.
For Anne and Colin a big thank you for looking after us and YNWA.

Room Tip: Worth going to to experience the area and the hospitality.

We would definitely recommend!

The owners were very friendly and welcoming - willing to give advice on places to eat and visit, directions, etc.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, the room was warm, there were tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, free wifi and a hairdryer available.

Breakfast timing was flexible depending when we'd like to eat and to fit in with our plans for the day. The full English breakfast was delicious and also very well presented - there were also cereals and toast available.

Have just spent two nights at Brewery Farmhouse for the third time. Very comfortable stay and lovely breakfast with plenty of choice for cereals as well as a cooked breakfast. Easy to park and near to bus stops. Friendly owners.

We needed to find somewhere in Swindon at short notice, and we were lucky to find this B&B had space. Our room was designed well, with good furnishings and a large sofa. We were there on the night of the big pre-Christmas storm, and so I guess most places would have been noisy overnight, as this was.

Our full English breakfast was a lovely treat, and we could have had cereals as well. The owners were lovely to chat with. We'd definitely go back if we need to be in the area again. And being just about 5 minutes drive from the M4 it's handy for many places.

Room Tip: Room 3 was large with a very spacious bathroom. I could hear traffic noise from early the next morni...

Room was comfortable, and very clean. Bed was just right for us, and we slept well. Breakfast was very good, although serving it between 7 and 730 might not suit everyone, suits me but having worked in this business for over ten years I know it wouldn't suit a lot of people. My only niggle is the lack of lighting on our arrival, it was a bit disconcerting not being able to see the face of the person meeting us at the door for the first time.
