Whilst spending a weekend at a hotel near Highworth we decide to dine out one evening with a change of cuisine so we checked Trip advisors reviews on nearby restaurants and the Tamarind Indian restaurant and take away was given very favourable reviews, so we duly turned up at the restaurant about 7pm and was asked
if we had a reservation we had not pre booked, no problem we were promptly shown to our table, the food and the ambience and service has stated by TA reviewers were spot on, and was given chocolates and complimentary shots of baileys when paying the bill and the door was held open for us on the way out

The Tamarind indian restaurant was recommended to us by several people staying at the Highworth hotel and are we glad we went. The food was excellent, the staff couldnt do enough for us and value for money! What more could you ask for. We will be returning to this restaurant next time we are in the area.

Rarely a week go's by when we dont have some of the culinary delights from our local/best curry house in highworth.

Always greeted with a smile. Over the years we have eaten here with friends and family and everyone has agreed how fab the place.

Nothing is too much trouble.

Highly recomend there goan chicken / chicken roshney and they do a jalfresi to die for.

Takeaways are high quality too. Good luck with new restaurant to guys

We travel the extra few miles to go to the Tamarind and use it as our local curry house. The chicken is tender, the food is colourful, fresh and no complaints!
Can get very busy and service can be slow, but worth the wait!
Love the quirky interior but remember to bring a jumper - the building is old and does get cold but after a spicy dish and a few kobras....
Brilliant :)

My wife and i have been using the Tamarind since it opened.

We have brought many guests here from all corners of the globe and the thing that they like the most is the knowledge of the staff when it comes to the food.

The food is great, the staff are pleasant, the decor is not what you will find in many traditional indian restaurants, its more relaxing.

Will continue to visit and recommend to friends, workmates and family.
