“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

Fantastic hotel in a great complex. The room was clean modern and tidy however there was no air con so it was boiling hot and the preheated shower setting was scorching and we could not override it as instructed on the wall. The dinner in the italian was lovely however the choice was not great if you're staying DBB. Breakfast was the biggest let down of the hotel good variety but poor quality and a bit soggy. Facilities were lovely steam room was out of order when we stayed pool slightly smaller than expected but perfectly adequate and lovely hot tub. We also had a 30 minute treatment as we stayed on the Friday feeling package. Spa was small but lovely clean and modern all staff were friendly and massage was very good! Would definitely come back again great value for money

We stayed here for one night in a King suite room, we ended up being given a room right above the front reception/bar. the room didn't have any air-con which made it extremely hot so we had to open the windows. The reception has a star bucks café and a bar where people were sitting out having a drink, it wasn't too much of a problem until we wanted to go to bed as the room was hot we had to keep the windows open and all the noise kept us up to gone 1 am, other than this issue the hotel is really nice and clean, we will be trying it out again but this time asking for a different room (not the front). The breakfast was 5*, couldn't fault it. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely clean with the room being well presented. If you are staying for a few nights bring your swimming kit and there is plenty to do around the area for all, including cinema, bowling and food. there is also a big ASDA store across the main road. Have a great stay as would recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for room change if above reception

I have been to this hotel on several occasions and love it.....
On check in we were offered a 342 upgrade to a upper deck room.... Thought this was a waste of money, £20 per night extra did not warrant the few extras that you, glad we tried it tho but won't be doing it again.
The staff in the Buca are great, especially the guy that greets you for breakfast and the guy on the egg station....
We also had a lovely two course early bird dinner for £10.95! Excellent value!
Four of us girls had treatments in the spa and we were all happy, we do believe these girls work very hard and sometimes have to deal with very noisy, difficult clients...
I do believe however that when they have a large hen party in for a spa morning maybe the spa should be closed to other clients because it can get very over crowded and noisy....
I am sure the girls working in the spa would also prefer this.
Over all great stay and will no doubt return again soon!

Room Tip: Only gave a average for the room because I didn't believe the upper deck room was worth the extr...

We have fallen for this hotel and return again and again with friends and family. It is a great hotel with fab rooms and helpful staff. It is central for many amenities close by and offers a relaxed and happy atmosphere. The gym is fabulous and the pool and jacuzzi great. Staff are all helpful and polite. The food at breakfast is great, lots of choice and efficient service. We will continue to recommend it to friends and take other couples, families and colleagues with us when we visit. They ll share our opinion and many of them return.

Just stayed for 1 night, 2 adults & 2 Children, had connnecting Family Rooms, both with Kingsize bed and Sofa bed, lovely updated rooms with modern interior and TV with multiple channels.
Check in was nice and easy and the guy on reception was most helpful checking us in, as were the girls checking us out on the Sunday morning paying extra attention to our little girl in her pushchair.
Had food in the victory Pub, ok the Budweiser is expensive but you do get a book of vouchers when you check in so get a free drink which offsets this, the food was really nice and kids under 5 eat free so no complaints, again staff really helpful.
Breakfast was standard buffet with everything you'd expect and again very nice.
Also maid use of the swimming pool, this was great and you get towels etc provided.
All in all, good family hotel in a convenient location if you need to be near Swindon, would definitely return if we had a need to.

Stayed here last night with my son. Couldn't originally give us the room we booked but sorted this after 40 minutes. Food in the Victory pub worse than a road side burger van and wine about the same price as a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. The 50 channel TV turned out to be no channel Tv as apparently there is an issue with the 4G signal blocking it and it always happen.....do something about it. I was told last night that as a result I would be given a discount on check out.....nothing happened. I stay approx 100 hotel nights per year and can assure you none of them will be in a Devere hotel ever again.

A few days without the kids - bliss. The Devere Village isn't the most attractive spot but it WAS quiet. It's next door to a bowling alley, cinema and indian restaurant, which is useful - plenty of parking and easy access to M4 and Swindon town centre.
Room was excellent (standard king) with comfy bed and well furnished.
Leisure facilities were also very good, although the pool is small(ish) and only goes to 1.2m so it's "deep end" isn't. There were a wide range of classes (gym, spin, aqua) every day free to guests - which we also took advantage of. Changing rooms spotless.
Breakfast is a buffet full choice (cooked, cereals, pastries) - again spotless. Good service and tasty, good quality food.
We noticed various business people there, as well as families so it seems to appeal to all types.

Room Tip: Room facing the 'inner quadrant' will avoid any possible noise from the car park.
