In Swindon for the weekend and the ladies wanted spa facilities. Chose this place and was surprised at the reasonable price for the room and the spa day. You usually get what you pay for so I was expecting something basic. Well I have to say both the hotel and the spa were above expectations. The room was good and the spa treatments were reported to be first class. Facilities in the hotel include a very well appointed fitness suite and a relatively small pool all included. Breakfast ok but buffet style making everything a little dry under the lights and how I hate do it yourself toast. Functions at the weekend may not suit those wanting a quiet break and situated in a leisure complex not this most scenic but overall very acceptable for our needs. Watch the slip road into the complex just past the roundabout - easy to miss in the dark.

Room Tip: Worth upgrading to Upper Deck at £20 per night when we stayed at the weekend. Bed better.

stayed here for a couple of nights in oct with wife & son in the family king suite which was huge! - separate living room area with big tv. it was fairly modern decor but as per lots of other reviews it really is dark & could do with some more lighting!

hotel itself was very good with nice italian restaurant which also doubles up as breakfast room; old fashioned in decor here with bundles of pictures on the wall which i liked & is a pleasant contrast to all the new contemporary restaurants. we ate here on one evening & the food was good. breakfast was very good with lots of choice; full english, cereals, juices, pastries etc

also has pub style bar (lots of sky sports screens) serving usual pub style food, we ate here & decent burgers, chips etc

starbucks in reception area if you like your corporate coffee.

wife & son used pool & said it was good; didn't use any spa facilities.

its located next to cineworld, bowling / arcade complex & laserquest plus pizza hut & 2x indian restaurants & there is also a leisure centre across the way with pool, ice rink, library etc & a big morrisons alongside.

because of its location (i guess swindon isn't peoples 1st choice for a getaway) its very good value, it was about about £120 per night for a suite but you can get doubles for half of that.

one problem was no sky in the room; apparently it had just been installed the day we arrived & was awaiting initialisation, but that said only on the bedroom tv, not the massive tv in the living area which seems a bit odd to me!

the hotel has a nice relaxed vibe & i would recommend & we may well go back sometime.

Nice hotel, looking very much like something on an out of town park rather than a hotel. Arranged around a quadrangle. Nice ambiance, dark, large clean rooms although housekeeping shortcomings in that no shower gel nor working light bulb in dressing table lamp. Not enough hangars nor in-room safe. Nice big TV. Two single beds on wheels, pushed together to make a king, so very easy to push apart. Some road noise as we faced out the back. All public rooms seemed large with many seating areas in cosy corners. Free Wi-Fi throughput. Bar spacious with live entertainment on a Saturday, ample parking, large Italian restaurant doubles as breakfast room with ambitions of fine dining, price wise but not presentation nor taste nor service but the food was hot. Reasonable selection of wine, again felt overpriced for what it was. Large and tasty breakfast buffet. Small to medium sized circular pool so felt crowded with only a few swimmers attached to large gym complex complete with sauna and steam room, very good changing facilities and a spinner for wet trunks. Small Jacuzzi but hogged by people so didn’t get the chance to use it. Excellent massage in the Urban Spa. Overall a very comfortable hotel on the edge of town close to Junction 16.

Well, what can I say, I can not praise this hotel enough! The hotel is clean, modern, and caters for all. The reception is lovely and even has its own starbucks! we were upgraded to a family room over looking the courtyard, lovely surprise and was much appreciated. The room was decorated lovely and had a massive king size bed and aircon.
The main thing that made this hotel was the staff, we honestly thought they thought we were secret shoppers! They just couldn't do enough. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman on reception who greeted us by saying "Good afternoon Mr.Savage" and had already booked us in (think he saw our private plate lol) he made booking in a breeze and told us about the room upgrade and wished me a happy b'day, great start to our weekend break!
We didn't eat in the restrant the first night but we did the 2nd and wow what a fab night! The staff again were amazing, they gave us a lovely table and just couldn't do enough. We were really looked after by the manager(so sorry can't remember his name) and a gentleman called Dave, they were so friendly and really had a laugh with them. We were looked after by a lovely waitress who took our order and recommend some lovely dishes. The food was that amazing we couldn't eat our 3 courses (3 courses for two people 29.99!!!!!!)
The next morning we were visited by Dave again who had kept a piece of the cake I had ordered the night before and put a candle in it and bought out some balloons! Really really made my b'day!
All I can say is Amazing! Already told my family we are returning next year for my b'day but taking them with us!
Thank you to all the staff!

Visited while staying overnight on business. The breakfast, spa & pool complex, cleanliness of the room and overall facilities were very good. The hotel feels a little out of the way but it is nice and quiet which is good.

What let my stay down slightly was the visit to the Victory Pub. Went on a Wednesday night and had to wait an age to order as the server clearly couldnt work the till and put offers through. When I did order, the starter of Whitebait was very expensive and served with no sauce. The burger had a smear of chilli on it which was poor for a chilli burger and I had to go to the bar as chase my Cheese & Biscuits as I had been waiting for over 45 minutes. Sadly the service in this part of the hotel let the rest of it down and made me wish I'd eaten elsewhere and would suggest others explore other options on the retail park.

Nice location and local facilities. Friendly staff. Good gym - pool a bit small - not good for avid swimmers. I upgraded to a more expensive room on arrival. Smelt of damp. Toilet was partially blocked. Spa not particularly helpful booking appointments. Was looking for a relaxing weekend - wasn't that comfortable considering the price! :/
