“Winter warmer break”

We have just had a mid week winter warmer break in the Swindon Marriott. The staff are lovely, so helpful and friendly, extremely pleasant. The room had two very comfortable double beds, large tv, lots of controllable lighting, mini bar, tea coffee and a lovely well stocked bathroom. Breakfast was included and was all you could want, vast choice of hot and cold and a chef on hand to cook any omelettes or special requests. The hotel included a gym and pool which we didn't use on this visit. The only slight criticism is that the car park was very small for such a large hotel and was frequently full with gym members vehicles but apart from this our stay was perfect. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have passed on all of your comments. And just to confirm we do have two car parks one small one next to the leisure centre and one larger on just as you come in to the hotel on the right hand side.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at the Swindon Marriott, we stayed on the Valentines package and from beginning to end the whole stay was fantastic.

The staff could not do enough for us, all our meals were delicious and the breakfast out of this world.

The rooms have been recently refurbished and are beautifully clean. We can't wait to go back there again.

Stayed for several days every week for months, and always made welcome, nice atmoshpere for a business hotel, all staff are friendly and helpfull, would highly recommend for anyone stayoing in swindon

Value for money. We stayed two nights on a mini break, the twin room had two king size beds, very clean and beds were comfortable with lovely comfy pillows. Staff were very attentive, polite and welcoming. Good buffet choice at breakfast and choices at dinner. Well recommended

We have stayed in this hotel on many occasions and have never been let down. It's location is perfect. The hotel itself is superb. It is very clean and tidy and the staff have always been very helpful and always friendly. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Swindon. The breakfast are second to none. Marriott beds are the best.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in January while attending a seminar in Swindon. The hotel is well positioned with good parking facilities, the staff were very friendly and efficient and the room was clean and comfortable which is just about all you can expect from a chain hotel like Marriott. There was nothing charming about the place but the quiet, understated efficiency was just what we required. We had some negative issues but nothing major, the room was a bit cool and the thermostat didn't appear to make any difference but reception brought up an extra quilt so it wasn't a problem. The restaurant wasn't great, my wife ordered a Sea Bass dish which was consisted of some delicately flavoured fillets sitting on top of a large pile of sticky rice quite strongly flavoured with beetroot. As with the room, not a disaster but quite easy to improve I would have thought. The breakfast buffet on the other hand was superb, hot and cold food, very fresh and well presented. The cost for a superior room was £460 which we both agreed was good value.

Just so other reviewers are aware the £460 must have been for your total 3 night stay as our superior rooms themselves do not cost that much.

We stayed for a works do. From the outset the staff were incredibly welcoming. The food was very good, bearing in mind that this was a catered event for 75+ people. We had an issue with the safe which was brilliantly resolved by a member of the front of house staff and the housekeeper. Breakfast was excellent. Good works all round.
