“Cheap and Cheerful and actually REALLY GOOD!!!”
Reviewed 20 November 2011

From the moment we arrived I was impressed, plentiful parking and not an unpleasent location despite being on an industrial estate. George on reception made us and our dog very welcome, and continued to be friendly and helpful all evening. Our room on the ground floor was small, but really well designed and laid out, I actually liked the green decor, and the room lighting was excellent. The bathroom had a brilliant power shower over a short but deep bath tub, shelf and hooks in the right places, contemporary square basin, up market grohe taps, and not a spec of mould or dirt to be seen. The quality twin beds were pushed together, very comfortable, and would not have been out of place in a four star. The flat sceen TV was in the right position to view from the bed, and we had a great nights sleep. Wifi was free, easy to access and worked well. Dinner was enjoyable and good value, its not fine dining but much better than you might expect for the very reasonable price. The hotel is well kept, in quiet surroundings, is clean and inviting, and for what we paid (£42 a night room only) FANTASTIC value, well done Camponile, see you again soon!

The room was small, but perfectly formed! Very clean and excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and my dogs were welcomed!
For the price, this is an excellent hotel.

Room Tip: Room 5 good for dogs as it's on the ground floor!

Spotlessly clean room, with facilities far exceeding usual "overnight stay near the motorway" accommodation. Good value - room and breakfast. Free parking. Convenient for National building centre and Outlet Mall.

Room Tip: Book early for best prices

We needed a hotel in the area and knew we would be arriving late from the airport. It was situated near enough to the major roads, but without the disadvantage of major roads running right by it, making it quieter than a lot of other similar hotels.

It was convenient, clean and although the night staff were slow to respond, the day staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was good and plentiful and the rooms were clean and designed to pack the maximum in to the minimum of space - it was a bit like travelling on an overnight ferry. The choice of colour scheme could do with toning down as the lime green in the bedroom was hardly conducive to a night's sleep!

This hotel is nicely clean and tidy and functional. It is "budget prices" unless it is airshow weekend when I have seen prices triple and then return to normal the next day. I hold one or two smallish business meetings here each year because it's quiet, clean and value for money. However, the hotel doesn't seem to want to care about its customers. For example, the freeflow coffee machine is guarded like it is some crown jewel, even though it is in a public area. The bar will stop serving whether customers want to buy later or not. The food is good but only average, hot trough buffet service. They do some really nice little desserts that are very good. The hotel staff just seem disinterested. It's a shame that I am saying this because I have stayed at other Campaniles and they have been fine. And I stress, I will continue to book small meetings there - but primarily because we have to, not because we want to.

Rather surprisingly I think this place is great !! It is a budget hotel that delivers everything you could want. The main accolade has to be the brilliant staff who are always really helpful and professional. The decor of the rooms is a little unusual but they are clean and very comfortable with everything you could want, the food is pretty straightforward but of good quality and there is always something interesting to go for and the communal areas have a pleasant atmosphere. I stay in a lot of hotels, most of which are a lot more expensive and flashy than this place but I still keep coming back here and loving it. A refreshing take on a hotel experience.

As title says. Regarding customer service, you get out what you put in. If you treat the employees to a smile which they seem so rarely get from looking at the reviews then they will reciprocate. Excellent standard and very friendly. They were good at the bar and very attentive in the restaurant.

The food was of a high standard, and wouldn't hesitate ordering from the menu again. One problem? The soup was hot... Oh deary me!

The beer is good. Very good for a hotel. Prices as you would expect...

The Wifi was perfect and the hotel seemed rather busy. The only problem was having to login every now and then, which is the click of a button!

Early morning call and on time. Again, excellent service.

The bed was comfy and I had a good nights sleep. Curtains kept the room dark, pillows were good. Some noise, but it's a hotel!

Location in middle of delta business park. Not a romantic setting, but perfect for business travellers!

Would stop here again. Brilliant!
