My partner and I stayed at this hotel over Easter weekend. The facility itself isn't too bad, pretty new and the common areas are nice. The computer/TV is handy and the rates for internet access are very reasonable. The not so good: The hotel is right in the center of town, so it IS very good for access to the town center, HOWEVER it is next to three chain bars that have outdoor areas, and the patrons are loud far into the night. Our window didn't shut properly, even after a COOK was sent up to try and fix it, so our sleep time was dictated by closing time at the bars. The only area to park is a ten minute walk through the main market area, so walking to it in the morning and back in the evening is a bit daunting (dodging drunks and innumerous sick puddles). The hotel seems to cater mainly to coach tour groups. For a decent breakfast its best to get to the breakfast area whilst the groups are there: They get hot foods, the rest get cereal and bread. Our room wasn't serviceed during our stay, despite vacating it daily at 1030, and the furnishings were dirty and worse for the wear, actually looking as though they were from a tip. The shining star of the experience was the day clerk who was a very friendly young lady and was very helpful and cheery. The others seemed to hate their jobs and didn't like to be bothered by guests enquiries.
