“Great food at reasonable prices”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Booked table for 7pm on a beautiful sunny evening, there were four of us and two children, we were welcomed upon entry and taken to our table once we had ordered some drinks at the bar ( a little over priced on drinks).

We ordered our starters and when arrived were fantastic ( be prepared to wait if it's very busy) mains followed shortly after and were also fantastic and very filling meals.

Overall a very good evening and would visit again.. Although drinks are a little overpriced.

“Dinner in the garden ”
Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

We had a lovely evening in the gardens of the cross keys, they now have some swings and climbing frames for the children which they enjoyed. The meal was good, we had 2 courses for £12 which was very good value. The children's menu was also good, pizzas, pasta, burger etc.

“Well worth a visit if you are in the area.”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

This restrauant came highly recommended and so a friend and myself met there and had Sunday Lunch. The weather was perfect so it was nice to have the choice to sit either inside or out... the menu selection was excellent but we both opted for a roast which i have to say was super. The vegetables that arrived were freshly cooked and delicious and i was particularly pleased to have a gravy boat arrive as i always have to ask for extra gravy...
The staff were both friendly and efficient and were always on hand to please their customers.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place....It's definately worth a visit if you are passing through Wanborough.....even if it's just for a coffee.

“Needs a lunch menu?”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

It's been a while since visiting the Cross Keys. It under new management and has been refitted inside and out. All very tasteful and bistro. Nice feel to the place, a big change from the old traditional look.

Menu is not extensive. But is interesting and should have something for everyone - as befits the gastro style, plenty of goat cheese, rocket and emmental going on. Food was decent standard, but when you pay over £10 for a pizza maybe you'd expect a few salad leaves throw on for presentation and added value.

Overall, 3 stars, but may revise judgement on future visit. Would have been 4 if there was a lunch menu with similar offering but a couple of quid cheaper.

Thank you for your comments, we do have a bar menu with smaller dishes which our team should have shown you. My apologies for not doing so
