We visited this pub for the first time today , as we've heard a lot about it . First thoughts , what a super place clean tidy . Friendly staff.
The meal was very poor, had the 12oz rib eye steak asked for medium done , was more like over done , everything seemed over done , wife had the farmhouse tart , again all over done. Bordering uneatable . Couldn't be bothered to complain this time. Will try again in a few weeks time to see if any improvement has been made.
Such a shame when it's such a nice place and you get a chef who can't cook.
Will give it a second chance, but next time I will return my food if it's not fresh and cooked to my liking .

A good pub thats great value for money. Lots of parking available and great to sit outside on a sunny day.
My only negative is that they do not have any real appealling veggie options. Put it this way they are not what a veggie wants to eat! They need to do proper options like veggie lasagne, sausages and mash, stews etc which can be done with quorn products. They also need to do a mild quorn curry for curry night as i would like to go but i cant due to go mild veggie options.
And also bring back the seafood ravoli!!

We went for a mothers day meal There were nineteen of us. The meal was lovely and really good value as the mains were 2 for 1. My husband and I had the sirloin steak which was cooked just right. Service was very good. We hope to return very soon.

Great value for money with the two for one deal. Lots of choice. Both meals were very tasty. Speedy service, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Will return.

Had a brilliant time! Considering the day and that the place had people queuing out of the door, we had booked which obviously helped, were seated quickly and looked after by a lovely young lady. Our food was nice, T-bone steak which was cooked a perfect medium rare. There were 8 of us and it think our bill was really cheap! Will be revisiting but I will say you probably need to book!
