We will usually treat ourselves to a meal in the Abbey Meads on a monthly basis but do also spend evenings from time to time with a nice cold one.
The Landlord is a brilliant character with lots of passion for the local music scene and promoting local businesses. The staff are friendly, approachable and warm.
The pub has a nice roomy space to it, but segmented in to areas based on your preference of privacy. Nicely decorated with nostalgic memorabilia from any old events which gives a nice cosy vibe.
There are often games of darts and pool for the more fidgety pub go-ers, and a large TV with whatever's on in another corner.
For sunny days there is a spacious and pleasant garden where children can play safely in either the park or to the rear of the premises on the green under the watchful eye of parents from the plenty of park and bench style seating.
The food is your standard pub grub with enough on your plate to fill the average person and wide enough selection to please even the fussiest of kids.
An all around lovely, pleasant vibe and reasonable on the pocket!
