As greyhound stadia go, Swindon is one of the more basic when comparing facilities throughout the country.
Access from the main road is quite easy as it is situated on the outskirts of the town to the north.
I visited on a Saturday night and it was quite busy so it was difficult to find a seat except for the small snack bar area on the ground floor which never seemed too full. For a greyhound enthusiast, such as myself, the racing was quite interesting and there was only a short period between races. One good point is that bets in the denomination of 25p are still accepted by the tote so, for £1.50 it is possible to have a trio combination bet which, if successful in one race, could gain the "invester" enough funds to pay for the entrance and all bets for the evening.
In conclusion perhaps not ideal for the casual visitor but it can be an exciting night out if the bets provide a profit!
