A really nice and friendly cafe/bistro in Old Town. They have a policy of training up staff which means the service is not always slick but always friendly. Food is hearty, homecooked and lovely. Beer selection, considering the name, doesn't disappoint. Fantastic atmosphere and a really different dining experience in Swindon. Go there.

A brilliant atmosphere and some of the best food in Swindon. And best of all, a nice place for lunch on a Sunday.

We visited this charming Bistro on a Friday evening. The atmosphere is very different from all the other restaurants in old town. The service is very friendly. We were greeted with complimentary mackerel pate on spicy toast. We ordered a Veggie mezze board to share, which was delicious, followed by a tagine and spicy Moroccan Meatballs, which were equally tasty. There is a large selection of Ales and Wines. There are some very appetizing cakes on display as well, if you have some space left. We will be coming back..

Someone said quirky earlier....It is but not a bad thing especially in this part of town.
The food is good, the service has improved so much since they opened, quicker and friendly.
The menu is eclectic and doesn't always cover all tastes.
Overall worth a visit.

We had reserved a table for dinner at this charming, quirky bistro. I've eaten here several times before and really enjoyed it. Reminds me of the quirky Bistros one encounters on the continent. Warmly greeted and drinks orders taken - this place in the main, serves local beers and has a small but very good choice of wines too. The food was just perfect, there's a very good selection to choose from, and it was very good quality. The ambience suits all - from a couple wanting an intimate supper, to small groups celebrating. And yes, the furniture doesn't match - its what makes it quirky - I love the place!
